Here's a thread with some thoughts from late May.In my scoring system he outscored Zach Thomas and Brian Urlacher last year. Was that because he was filling in for Ray Ray at MLB? Should we expect a major downtick in numbers this year?

All of the above. Davis has a bunch of unanswered questions (can he play backer, can he succeed on third downs in coverage/rush roles, will he generate enough tackles to be a legit fantasy option), but what you saw from Thomas is probably the ceiling of his productivity. I'd take any of the other four players (and Davis too personally) above Thomas.Read the thread, thanks for that. Would you rather take a chance on him or Spikes (WLB) or Thomas Davis (SLB?) or Lance Briggs (WLB) or maybe a rookie like Sims or Ryans?
Cool, thanks a lot. I used to actually think I had a pretty good handle on IDPs until I came to this forum. I like Spikes for a bounce back year, and the only reason I am at all hesitant on taking Briggs is that I have Urlacher and the bench is real short (10 spots total compared to 15 starters).I think that if Thomas can move to MLB or WLB he'll do great, but it will obviously take another injury to Morgan to get the Mike spot. Going to check some threads on where people think he will start. I've heard a lot of people say SLB, which I don't think really plays to his strengths. All of the above. Do a search for the WE ALL LOVE THOMAS DAVIS thread that has about 1000 pages to it. I'm a Platinum subscriber.Cool, thanks a lot. Should Morgan get injured, it won't be Davis that moves to the middle. I doubt he moves to the Will in that case, either, unless the Panther LB corps gets decimated by injury. Even then, I think they'd like to keep him in one place so as not to stunt his growth as they may have done last year. In any event, he'll be used in ways different than the typical SLB.
