Add/Drop and Waiver Wire wonderment thread: Do you still own Domingo Santana? (2 Viewers)

I went Robbie Ray over the likes of Doug Fister, Chris Young, and Jesse Chavez and so far, so good. Probably not a guy you can throw out on the road much, but he gets enough Ks to justify a start almost anywhere in a pinch.

Tried to trade dickerson for Bautista in a keeper league where Bautista contract expires this year and the guy was insulted. I guess dickerson had no value right now?
I'm in your shoes. Dickerson is $1 to keep and nobody wants him.
Same problem here. I have Dickerson and he's keeper eligible through 2018 and I still can't move him.

Sounds like he'll be back next week. Hoping he's healthy this time and rakes so these guys kick themselves.

Couple guys to keep on radar if you need pitching.

Tony Cingrani was stretched out on his rehab assignment. He will be starting on Wednesday.

Patrick Corbin is making his way back from TJ surgery. Has been mediocre in his 3 starts, but he may be worth a look.

any interesting catcher prospects close? had Norris for first half, was decent, dumped him for Jaso, but meh
can't use both? Im using Jaso vs righties and Norris otherwise.
Last 30 days Norris is batting 156 with 2 HR. He is unrosterable right now.
He was playing with a bad shoulder towards the break.
I think it still must be hurting him
At least he's been running! That's all I got.

Joe Ross starting tonight for Washington.
rolling with ross tonight and cingrani tomorrow
How'd that work out?
How do you think jackass? :hophead:
About as bad as Porcello? Worse?
Better. For he only did his damage in 2.2 innings. Easy to recover from that :)
Yeah I can see picking up Cingrani, but the guy had zero starts this year and he was pretty awful last year as a starter. Seems like a late innings guy IMO, I could see him being a top 10 closer in two or three years. But I'm not sure he has what it takes to be an effective starter. We'll see.

Auction keeper league, keep up to 5 ($260 auction cap). Team I traded with is loaded at SS with Correa, Tulo, Reyes, Sano

Keeper prices next year in parenthesis:

Traded Keuchel ($6) and Cargo ($32)

for

Correa ($10)

Thoughts? Might've hurt my chances for this year but hopefully my pitching can withstand it.

Correa is the #3 SS at worst next year, I like it.

Just realized that i don't have a single drafted guy in my lineup. My entire team is made up of ww pickups, keepers, or players i traded for.

Only possible argument is where are you in the standings now and how much will the loss of Keuchel impact that, but on pure value, I think it's a no-brainer, especially if you can keep for more than 1 year. What did Tulo go for this year? Correa will probably be close to that next year and I could never imagine keeping Cargo at that price.

Tulo went for 36. Pitching obviously took a hit but I'm still fairly solid for a 12 teamed I hope but it's just not much depth wise and would be nice to be able to grab a FA that can help (leaves me with Cole, Arrieta, Hector Santiago, Tyson Ross, Jesse Chavez and if he stays in the rotation after the Kaz trade I have Velasquez). I'm currently in third and more or less should be fairly locked into a playoff spot but my offense has been struggling as of late and I'm not sure I can compete with two of the teams but we'll see/hoping to make another move to shore up offensively.

Pedroia down again. Need help at 2b. Any of you stat nerds clue me in to one of the garbage guys on the wire

H2h points league

:moneybag:

Watching him turn into a viable mixed league asset is annoying to me. But at least I'm not sleeping on him.

Picked up Aaron Hicks again. Dropped Jason Motte.

And damn, Devon Travis. Hurt his shoulder again?
Think I will have to drop Travis if he is not going on DL.

Anyone with thoughts on a fringe-y hitter with upside to stick on my bench? Looking at guys with at least 50 PAs and looking at hard-hit % combined with at least decent K-BB ratios, I see:

Duda

Sano

Justin Bour

Derek Dietrich

Duda really does seem like he has been getting unlucky, but maybe there is something else going on and he never gets out of this funk. Sano obviously has huge upside, but is much more likely to carry the 35% K rate than the 20% BB rate the rest of the year.

I know Bour's name, but haven't really looked into him much and know nothing about Dietrich right now.

Thoughts on this group or anyone else?

Another 2-HR game for Duda tonight. He's maybe the best of that group although his low AVG and high OBP makes him somewhat scoring-system dependent.

Odor would also be a good choice.

ETA: Make it 3 bombs for Duda. Might wanna hurry up and grab him if he's your guy.
