I have Jay Bruce in a total bases (no walks) nightly pool. It's only active on the weekends and holidays.

Should I wait for him to come back or replace him with one of the following:

Stanton
Blackmon
Nolan Gomez
Morneau
Arenado
Utley
Rendon
Teixeira

The following players are gone:

Cabrera
Trout
Goldschmidt
C Davis
A Jones
Fielder
Beltre
McCutchen
Cano
Longoria
Pencr
Votto
C Gonzales
Donaldson
D Ortiz
J Bruce
Encaracion
Tulowtzski
Braun
Stanton
Abreu
Puig
A Garcia
Pujols
C Gomez

Not sure I understand. Why wouldnt you replace him?
I will but I could wait until he's off the DL in a month.
So you're asking if you should pick someone up or take zero's for a month? Id say pick someone up. :grad:
If this is the case, Stanton seems to be the obvious choice.
Walks dont count though. His HR rate likely isnt sustainable and with the gaudy numbers he's put up so far, Id be worried about him seeing less and less pitches to hit as the year goes on. Id be tempted to go Blackmon or Rendon, but Ive got a pretty big man-crush on Rendon.

Blackmon & Rendon each have their own sustainability questions.

Can't honestly say Ive seen much of Blackmon, so I wont comment. Could very well be some regression coming. Rendon is a "professional hitter" though and I actually wouldnt be surprised to see him get even better, but again, Im a bit smitten.

I f'd up and didn't notice that someone has already swapped for Stanton. Thinking of Morneau instead.
