So much for keeping it clean. You can go ahead and take your namecalling and meaningless rants back to high school.I challenge you to find 8 wins on your schedule this year, after you take off the brown-colored glasses. It's not going to happen. Derek Anderson is not the answer, and most Browns fans are aware of that.Wins - PIT, @BAL, BAL, HOU, @TEN, CINLosses - DAL, @CIN, NYG, @WAS, @JAX, DEN, @BUF, IND, @PHI, @PITYou get the top 2 teams from the NFC East at home, we get the bottom 2 teams from that division at home. WAS and PHI are much more winnable home games than DAL and NYG. Also, outside of the division, you get DEN and @BUF, whereas we get KC and @NYJ. Again, our games there are more winnable than yours.

Sadly, I cannot argue against facts, other than to say I hate Pittsburgh!

You again? I'm as big of a Browns fan as anyone, but for the love of God keep your trash talking trap shut. We haven't beaten the Squeelers in the better part of a decade, haven't won a playoff game since Jerry Garcia was alive, and haven't won a Super Bowl since...umm...crickets. I am as confident as any Browns homer, but let's do it on the field before we start up on the boards please? You look foolish.

Well said. I thought this clown was banned after he wished death upon a guy in league (whose name eludes me right now).

be interesting to see if the Ravens try the old "let's leave the field and pretend the game is over" trick again this year.

I'm pretty sure this is :goodposting: ....but I can't really decipher what the OP wrote. Maybe one of his classmates can pop in during recess & help us out.

IMO, most of the fans of AFC North teams that post here regularly are pretty level-headed and are able to have logical conversations about their teams & opponents. But then, I'm old & the idea of "smack talk" doesn't really appeal to me at this point.

Bengals last playoff win: January 6, 1990

The Steelers have won 12 playoff gamse since, including taking a cheap shot on Carson Palmer when they knew they couldn't beat them straight up.
fixed
:goodposting: Carson Palmer's record against the Steelers is 2-6 (not including the playoff game). The Steelers LOVE to play Palmer.
what does this have to do with THAT game THAT season? Nothing? Ok then.

Oh so let's see, the Steelers knew before the game that Carson Palmer was going to beat them THAT game, even though he had a losing record against them, had never beaten them in Cincinnati (that season or any other), and the only way to win was to put him out of the game?I am sure it went down just like that.

at least it's based on something other than a whining loser's distorted sense of reality. You can take the whole division and shove it, everyone knows any team from the AFC South would dominate that poor excuse for a division.

Cleveland will be lucky to win 6. Pittsburgh will win the division by default.

I don't think any of the teams in this division are going to give their fans much to talk smack about this season. If it weren't for the divsion "winner" getting an automatic berth none of them would even make the playoffs.

he had beat them just a few weeks earlier in Pitt, no? Bill Coward and the Stealers were desperate for a win and it's not hard to figure out (even for them) that taking out the opposing QB is a good way to accomplish that.

Desparate for a playoff win? Thats laughable. Desparate would be a team like the Bengals who havent had a playoff win in almost 20 years.

Neil-O-Don-nell*clap* *clap* *clapclapclap*
I dont think any Steeler fan in their right mind would consider Neil a good quarterback. However, since were on the subject of Neil and Bengal playoff wins, the Bengals havent won a playoff game since Neil led the team to Super Bowl XXX.

Speaking of QBs I think it's pretty funny that the Bengals all-time leading passer is now QB coach for the Steelers. If you can't beat'em, join'em.

Bottom line is that since the AFL/NFL merger, the Steelers have won this division more times (19 to 14), won twice as many playoff games (28 to 14), and 5 times as many Super Bowls (5 to 1) as the entire rest of the division combined. Read that again. Baltimore gets something of a pass, as they've only been around for 12 years (still haven't matched Pittsburgh's success in that span,) but look at the other two teams that have been in the division since the merger :

Pittsburgh - 19 division titles, 28 playoff wins, 6 conference championships, 5 Super Bowl titles

Cleveland - 6 division titles, 4 playoff wins, 0 conference championships, 0 Super Bowl titles

Cincinnati - 6 division titles, 5 playoff wins, 2 conference championships, 0 Super Bowl titles

That is just brutal. Brutal.

of course they have -- 1 SB each, and Baltimore's isn't tainted by a cheap shot.
Really? Rich Gannon might tell you otherwise... check your history books. Siragusa's hit on Gannon was FAR more egregious than von Oelhoffen being blocked into Palmer's tissue-paper knee. But yes, if SB titles are all you count in terms of success, then Baltimore has matched Pittsburgh over the last 12 years. If you count overall wins, head-to-head performance, division titles, playoff appearances, playoff wins, or virtually any other measure of achievement, the Ravens' results are eclipsed by Pittsburgh's.

I almost edited to "both were tainted" but didn't. Goose's "Avalanche" on Gannon doesn't take away the stain of Kimo's lunge.

I know it's difficult to track this stuff, but the '01 Ravens followed up their SB ### wippin' of the GMen w/a 10-6 record in '01 and a playoff appearance (W in Miami)and yes, 10-6 in '03....a 13-3 division in '06

actually, over the '00 decade, the Ravens are 16 games over .500 (72-56) compared to the Brownies 32 games under @ 48-80 :lmao:

the Miami loss last year---sure, embarrasing....espically after taking NE to the wall a couple weeks before, up a score (24-17), w/the ball and 10 min to go in the game

truth is, Pitts by all measurables has had the most success in the division--over the last decade and historically

in the 12 yrs we've been around, there has been success in a Super Bowl W in '00, a couple division W's along the way on top of that, and a team that has generally been competitive week in and week out over that entire period

...a far cry from 32 games under .500 there buzz

Here's the difference between the Bengals and the Steelers.Bengals QB can't take a sack, gets knocked out of the game, misses most of the off-season, and their fans are still whining about their weak QB. Record since, 15-17 and no championship. Their star WR is a cry-baby and threatens to leave the team; half their players are arrested for various offenses. Outside of Oakland, there is no team more deserving of fan-hate.

Steelers QB takes on a car head on, almost dies, and plays 2 months later. Record since, 18-14 with a division championship. Their star WR gets the job done and basically stays out of the news. Most everyone respects the Steelers. :bag:

Sorry, but this is just an ignorant post. Lets see you take the shot that palmer took from a 300+lb lineman directly on the knee and get back up and play. Big ben is a good player but he is not the brightest guy. Hopefully, he learned his lesson, but I seriously doubt it. As for the division, I don't think any team is going to finish over .500. 8-8 and a wildcard exit is in store for the champ.
