Bengals last playoff win: January 6, 1990

The Steelers have won 12 playoff gamse since, including taking a cheap shot on Carson Palmer when they knew they couldn't beat them straight up.
fixed
:lmao: Carson Palmer's record against the Steelers is 2-6 (not including the playoff game). The Steelers LOVE to play Palmer.
what does this have to do with THAT game THAT season? Nothing? Ok then.
Oh so let's see, the Steelers knew before the game that Carson Palmer was going to beat them THAT game, even though he had a losing record against them, had never beaten them in Cincinnati (that season or any other), and the only way to win was to put him out of the game?I am sure it went down just like that.
he had beat them just a few weeks earlier in Pitt, no? Bill Coward and the Stealers were desperate for a win and it's not hard to figure out (even for them) that taking out the opposing QB is a good way to accomplish that.
Here's the difference between the Bengals and the Steelers.Bengals QB can't take a sack, gets knocked out of the game, misses most of the off-season, and their fans are still whining about their weak QB. Record since, 15-17 and no championship. Their star WR is a cry-baby and threatens to leave the team; half their players are arrested for various offenses. Outside of Oakland, there is no team more deserving of fan-hate.

Steelers QB takes on a car head on, almost dies, and plays 2 months later. Record since, 18-14 with a division championship. Their star WR gets the job done and basically stays out of the news. Most everyone respects the Steelers. :lmao:
Being a GMan fan yourself (I think), this is damn  Big respect :wall:
Thanks, but no. To be frank, I've become much more of a NFL fan than of any one team. Maybe it's moving around enough to get interested in new teams, lose some interest in others, etc. I'm a fan of good football and players with character. In some ways it's made me less interested in who wins and loses each week, but I actually enjoy the games more. There's many teams I cheer for because I like their style. Pittsburgh is on my high list, as is Tennessee (post-Adam Jones) and Indy. Cincy, Oakland, and Dallas (I just don't like Jerry Jones) are low.

Sorry, but this is just an ignorant post. Lets see you take the shot that palmer took from a 300+lb lineman directly on the knee and get back up and play. Big ben is a good player but he is not the brightest guy. Hopefully, he learned his lesson, but I seriously doubt it. As for the division, I don't think any team is going to finish over .500. 8-8 and a wildcard exit is in store for the champ.
:lmao: you do realize you clicked on a smack talk thread, right?

Whoops. At first glance, I honestly thought that was Manning in your avatar for some reason.

Baltimore gets something of a pass, as they've only been around for 12 years (still haven't matched Pittsburgh's success in that span,)
of course they have -- 1 SB each, and Baltimore's isn't tainted by a cheap shot.
Really? Rich Gannon might tell you otherwise... check your history books. Siragusa's hit on Gannon was FAR more egregious than von Oelhoffen being blocked into Palmer's tissue-paper knee. But yes, if SB titles are all you count in terms of success, then Baltimore has matched Pittsburgh over the last 12 years. If you count overall wins, head-to-head performance, division titles, playoff appearances, playoff wins, or virtually any other measure of achievement, the Ravens' results are eclipsed by Pittsburgh's.
 I'm a Ravens fan & I'm still waiting for a flag on Goose's bellyflop ("I knew he was hurt when I heard him squeal after I fell on him"). There was another in that playoff run, too, that I thought was pretty blatant - Ray Lewis crushed McNair, basically picked him up & body slammed him, no flag.Anyway, I agree with EG that Pittsburgh has been the class of the division, year in & year out, especially among the 4 teams now in it. And they're the favorite again this year. I like what Cleveland is doing, though I look for a bit of a backslide this year. Depending on breaks, I could see the Ravens winning anywhere from 4 to 9 games. And I really wish Cincy would get itself together (I like competitive divisions, not runaways like the AFCE) as I like Marvin Lewis.

The Bengals will hold thier own this year. The massive Oline is healthy and Rudi is healthy, this wasn't the case last year. If Perry is healthy enough for 3rd downs, you'll think it's 2005 again. The season is pretty much up to the D, but the offense will be able to control the clock better to help them out.

I think the Steelers or Bengals win it with 9. The Brown's schedule is rough, 7 wins... and 4 for Baltimore.

Not trying to bust ballz here, but I think the Bengals are in for a tough year unless one of their rookie WRs really steps up. Rudi has slowed down, and their offense just isn't the same without a dynamic third option for Palmer (Henry.) They haven't done much to upgrade on defense and with the rough schedule this year, I think they're a 6-7 win team.
