i'm in san diego where we have the chargers (AFC) and populated with one guy who likes the patriots (AFC) and another who likes the steelers (AFC). we wanted the league to be just an in-person league, and as such, we don't know that many guys. so because of that, we only were able to get 6 guys together, but to make it so that not everyone had all-star teams, we decided to make it an AFC-only league.

ESPN is the only website that i know of that specifically states that you can have this. granted, i only looked at yahoo and fox sports, so maybe my fantasy league or somewhere else allows for an AFC/NFC only league.

sorry for the rambling, but i guess my main question is - who else is in an AFC or NFC only league? or is anyone? i'm curious how widespread this is, if at all. this is our 2nd year and last year worked out well. we increased the roster size a bit this season and may increase the rosters by one bench slot next season as there are sometimes some pretty good players here and there on the free agent list, but it's not too bad.

I've heard of it, but it's got to be a tiny majority of leagues that do this.

For the record, I think you could do this on any fantasy football site. Just don't draft any players from NFC teams. :lmao:

true, that's one way to do it. since we do the draft in person, inputting the results wouldn't be a big deal, but it's a whole lot easier not to have to sift through NFC players when inputting the draft.also, for free agency, i know some guys would screw up. in last year's draft, a guy tried to draft brandon jacobs and actually did.......until we realized that jacobs was in the NFC 2 rounds later. he then took jamal lewis as a replacement and he figured he'd have a crappy season...and proceeded to win the league.this year someone's already asked where steve smith is. though you could make a solid assumption that we have no rhodes scholars in the league.

What happens in the event that an AFC player gets traded to an NFC team mid-season that's already rostered?

i haven't seen this in practice yet, but i am assuming ESPN (which is what we use as a league hosting service) will still count the stats.
