Listing in no particular order:

AP

Charles

TRich

Lynch

LeSean

Murray

Morris

Joique

Anyone else? Seems like everyone else is underwhelming...well so was TRich but now that he's on the Colts, his outlook is brighter. Spiller hurt now and FJax was getting more burn than he was supposed to. Martin's doing ok but his team's O is holding him back.

Should have tried for Murray last week like my gut told me. Oh well. Maybe his history will still scare his owner to sell high.

Does Joique really belong on this list when Bush is healthy? He's not exactly someone you can rely on every week to deliver like most on that list. I'd remove him personally, not saying he won't be worth starting but his value is not that high. I'd add Reggie if you're assuming PPR.

Chris Johnson is a pretty solid flex start - tough to find an almost guaranteed 20-25 carries each week, and he's bound to break off a few TDs along the way.

Franklin passed the eye test today... Would love to be able to get him cheap from an owner who is worried that he'll be back to the pine when Starks/Lacy are healthy.

I'm not getting the TRich love. New offense, bradshaw is solid, he hasn't shown elite skills, yet. I'm unloading him for a fortune and feeling great about it.

I hear you, but outside the Jags and Colts he has a rough schedule. If he's not catching passes it kills his value in PPR.

Franklin looked really good* but I expect Lacy to get a majority of the carries if he's back week 5.

Edit: *except for the fumble that cost them the game.

Murray's monster game last year was against the Rams I believe. I'd sell high.

There aren't many of them and if you have one, why would you trade them away when there are so few RBs putting up good numbers? Good luck trying to pry these guys away from their owners - it's gonna need your best offer and then some.

this thread could have been so much better. lets name off some other backs i have to give the farm away to get

Plus, he fumbled the game away.
I know this isn't Tom coughlin, but how much, if at all, does this Franklin fumble affect franklins playing time going forward?
His playing time will be effected by lacy. They have no one else.

Lacy is a guy everyone should be buying. Franklin was buried on the depth chart behind the guy who the coaches want to be a 3-down back after seeing all of training camp and the preseason. Franklin only got any carries because the 2 players in front of him got injured and while he had good yardage he fumbled softly on his biggest carry. You might be able to find a worried Eddie Lacy owner and get a top 12 RB for peanuts right now. everything points to him being the #1 guy to trade for this upcoming week.

why is TRich on the same list as Jamaal Charles and Mccoy. It's Mccoy and Charles then Peterson then everyone else in my opinion

Forte is up there right now as well (at least in PPR). Joique Bell honorable mention (although he's probably valued at two tiers below those other guys, at least).

Agreed. I'm going after Lacy and Steven Jackson as two buy low guys where I have teams that can afford not to have to use either for the next few weeks. Think both could be bought now for a fraction of their value 5 weeks from now.

:goodposting:
Murray's previous monster game against the Rams was in 2011.
Exactly. The more I see of Murray the more I think he's staying healthy all year, getting 1600 yards and the Cowboys cruise to 11-5 in this division.

Not any more than Fred Jackson belongs on this list Bush is the starter.

Jackson is a lot riskier than Lacy because it's an injury without a definite timetable that can more easily flare up. With how close Lacy was this week, we can go forward with probably 80-90% confidence coming out of the bye he will be basically 100%

I agree, and never said their injury situations were similar or that Jackson wasn't riskier considering the nature of his and his age. I just think both are good buy low targets for well-off teams at this point.

totally agree. just pointing out why I like Lacy more than Jackson right now. also the fact that Lacy has no history will make his owners more willing to part with him for cheaper I think

@Chet_G: Doug Martin is second in total yards rushing to McCoy. On pace for 1,584. On pace for 389 carries.

Peterson should get much better when Felton comes back to blast open holes for him. Buy now.

God I hope you're right. I own him in a bunch of leagues and have luckily been squeaking by. The talent/opportunity is there. He just needs to avoid getting hit by dirty players.

Thought this was a buy-low thread when I looked at the title. Almost all of the backs mentioned are buy-high guys where you need an unlucky owner off to a slow start who is desperate. Even the lower rung guys mentioned are tough gets. The Gio owner has him as a long play, knowing that he should get more and more of a share of the carries as the season goes on. He won't give him away cheaply. ADP? Shady? Not easy trade targets either.

The guy that fits best as a buy-lowish right now is probably Spiller. His "knee" injury was widely reported but apparently it's actually a thigh injury and not considered serious. A bad stat line and Fred Jackson taking an uncomfortable amount of the world load so far even before that means that he's a guy who might be someone that can be gotten.

David Wilson's stock is at all-time low but he lost two big carries (including a TD-run) because of holding calls. His share of the load seems to be back to a higher level and he's gonna get his share over the year I think.

Right now I think sell-highs are more plentiful at the RB position.

Concussions are bad news.

With SF struggling a little and him speaking up a bit, I think Gore is about to get fed the rock in a big way over the next month.

I think it will probably affect Franklin in short yardage situations. If Lacy/Starks are healthy I could see something reminiscent to how the Ravens ran Rice and McGahee a couple years back. Yardage and catches for Franklin. TDs for Lacy/Starks.

Joique Bell - will be hard to get him unless I overpay, but going forward don't have much faith that Reggie Bush will ever be fully healthy. Still like his upside relative to his price tag today.

Bilal Powell - I don't think he's a mirage, was the workhorse yesterday. He's going to take that job and run with it, relegating Ivory to COP status.

Lawfirm - I don't remember such a love fest for Gio Bernard, but it's getting twisted. Bernard isn't going to outscore Lawfirm by a whole lot going forward, and can be had for free on waiver wires in some leagues. While if you poll the Gio owners, they think he's pretty much untouchable. I'll bet against them.
