After the bye is T.O even a top 30 receiver? (1 Viewer)

Seems to me he is in danger of dropping out of the top 30. The only thing holding him in is that many others have already had to take a week off while he has had opportunities. He will be behind rookies, guys who have missed multiple starts, and perhaps will also be behind as many as 6 T.E.'s.

One also has to wonder about his efficiency per target where he would seem likely to show even worse.

How quickly they forget. Get Romo healthy - get Witten healthy and it'll be back to business as usually during the December stretch. And I hate the Cowboys in case you're wondering.

Luckily he scored today to salvage this week's performance. Give them a week off and if Romo comes back healthy he'll be solid going forward.

On a PPG basis (i.e. accounting for byes) he was 24th heading into this week. And this wek's peformance is average so I expect he;ll be in the same position post bye.

As for when Romo come back, he was getting alot of his value due to an inordinate number of TD catches (relative to total catches)...which is not a good sign IMO. I think he'll be better once Romo gets back, but this team has alot of problems (with or without Owens). Moreover, there's no guarantee that Romo will be the same player he was before they bye.

As such, I expect T.O to perform as a top 15 WR post bye..top 10 might be asking too much, top 5 simply will NOT happen.

Yeah once Romo's back he'll get his. He doesn't realize it since he's so self-centered and egotistical, but having Roy Williams on the field is going to HELP him!

That would go way over his head though. I wish they would film a reality show or a day in his life -- I think he'd be selfish in pretty much everything he could. He's absolutely a take the last dinner roll kinda guy, never mind a likely leave two drops of milk left in the gallon candidate.

They weren't that good with Romo and they won't be that good with Romo back. He'll be a top 20 WR but no way in hell he'll be a top 10.

Top 30 going forward, I'd say yes. Top 10 going forward.....probably not. The Cowboys have a lot more wrong with their team than just Tony Romo. I was sick to my stomach watching that performance yesterday and I made myself sit thru every play of it so that I can get a good look at all of the crap on the field.Tony Romo playing doesn't fix a lot of that mess.

Romo makes TO more likely to have big games, but you're right, it's not like his return makes TO back into an elite WR at this point. I'm selling TO as soon as Romo is officially healthy.

Are you guys crazy? Definitely top ten week 11 and on. Even after the tragic last four weeks, he's still 12th in fantasy WR scoring (non PPR, yardage league). He won't be top 5, but will be a low WR1 or high WR2.

I'm just noticing that in a PPR league he is 18 right now but mere points from dropping to around 33. Most of the others have already had their bye so he is one game up on them and they will pass him this week while he takes his turn sitting. Several of the guys already aheaad of him have missed multiple weeks with injury or suspension, and some have also lost their starting Q.B.

Owens is going to be 35 in a week or two. A dropoff should be expected at some point. What bothered me more is that Owens did not even seem to be trying yesterday.
He is still a magnificent physical specimen. Seems to me he has had no taste for the effort required in game since week one or two. He is dogging it.
