This requires a lot more conversation than I can put in a single post but I’ll try and summarize in a few minutes before I get ready for work…

Essentially - I have stopped fighting for the right and against the left. When we are not in this part of the forum we get along. Outside your home when you meet people in the street, (while not in our cars,) we get along. 

The fight isn’t between us. This country is now corrupt. Money is controlling  everything and all these things you and I are bickering about is just to keep us busy to not see the big picture. 

The big picture is the people in power don’t care about you. They only serve whats in the best interest of their own pocketbook. You and I are the sheep. 

Take this infrastructure bill. - Watch what happens. The bridges and roads won’t be magically fixed. 90% of that money goes right into the coffers of rich people. The rest will be for all the meetings and planning to keep you occupied. 

I cannot divulge too much information  without getting myself into trouble….I’ll just say that I swear on my own children… Ive heard Joe Biden on speakerphone speaking with a member of my family. 

I’ll just say it like this- It’s a rich mans club and you are not in it. I’m not in it. These are rich and powerful people and they ain’t worried about us. When push comes to shove we are cannon fodder. 

So my intentions going forward are to open peoples eyes to stop fighting about red and blue. This stuff is entirely out of our hands. Unless you go into politics yourself, just stop. Stop fighting. Stop worrying. Stop reading what’s force fed to you.

We are way past that point. I won’t write what I am rooting for but instead let you figure it out from there. It probably won’t happen in my lifetime but we are past due for one. I am too old and lack the power and more importantly, the intelligence, steady temper and influence to lead but I welcome it. 

So until then, I implore you to stop the fighting. Open your eyes to the bigger picture and stop following people who only serve their best interests. Instead prop each other up. Live your life. We do indeed have deep systemic issues. A creaky and seriously outdated constitution that has allowed monied interests to almost completely control governance and elections, all while flying the flag of "individual liberty."

There are places who do much better at suppressing this legal, institutionalized corruption but I don't think we have the national will to overcome our systemic obstructions and join them.

For the time being you have to hold your nose and vote but you won't see many candidates willing to even acknowledge the systemic rot that has to be excised.

Disagree wholeheartedly and tearing up the constitution as you describe it is the exact opposite of what would fix this country. 

A constitutional amendment to disallow campaign funds from corporations would be a start.

Me, I make a #### ton of money. Which ever dope you put in office is not going to impact me very much at all. Groceries might cost me some extra money. Gas might cost me some extra money. I am not taking any of this #### with me when I die.

Im going to buy a ginormous piece of land in the mountains, construct a Homestead and live my life away from government as much as I possibly can.

Not everyone has that luxury. I feel bad for them. They are the ones that are truly hurt by these politicians.
