Ahmad Bradshaw on Injury Report (1 Viewer)

What would a new week be without a new addition to the injury report. Ahmad Bradshaw has been added to the report because of an ankle/foot injury. He will be wearing a protective boot and won't practice today. Tom Coughlin commented by saying that "we fully expect him to be able to go" and be ready for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

TC said they expect him to be ready... and NYG is usually pretty straight forwarded.

I was planning on starting Bradshaw as my #2 RB this week but with all of the injuries (Gore, Jones & now Brad) it looks like I might need to pull off a trade because my alternatives are J. Stewart & R. Mendenhall.

The problem is fully expecting him to be able to go would be fine if he was the only back, and against a better team. As the backup, against KC, will they limit his touches to avoid unnecessary re-aggravation?

Gartrell Johnson looks like an intriguing add in very deep leagues. This is an old injury that Bradshaw said hasn't bothered him during his time with the Giants, although he is getting more work now that he has at any other time with the team except the 07-08 playoffs. So if its barking at him three weeks into the year, how will it hold up over the course of the season?

Not to mention Jacobs injury history.

Gartrell got praise from TC earlier in the week...

Isn't D Ware supposed to be back in a week or two? His initial prognosis was 2-3 weeks right?

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw, coming off a 104-yard rushing performance in Tampa, yesterday walked around the Giants training complex wearing a boot on his right foot. He sat out practice, but Tom Coughlin said, "We fully expect he'll be able to go and play in the game" this Sunday in Kansas City.

Bradshaw against the Buccaneers aggravated a high ankle sprain he said dates all the way back to his freshman year in college.

"I played through a lot of pain during college," Bradshaw said. "I've been able to do that ever since. It always hurts during the game, just a lot of pounding, somebody might fall on it. My style of running you just never know, I do a lot of cutting and I'm always on the edge of my feet."

By keeping the ankle immobilized, the Giants believe Bradshaw will recover enough to not miss any time against the Chiefs.

"I've been through way more pain than this," Bradshaw said. "My ankle's held up until this year. This year when somebody falls on it wrong, it hurts for like two plays then I'm able to play through it."

Yes

I don't care how tough he is - if he didn't practice fully today he won't be in my lineup. Love me some Ahmad - hoping to hear soon that we was a go today.

After returning to Friday's practice in full, Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle) was listed as probable on the Giants' Week 4 injury report.

Bradshaw has been the Giants' most productive runner with a 5.7 yards per carry average through three games. Expect 12-15 touches against Kansas City.
