Running back Ahmad Bradshaw, coming off a 104-yard rushing performance in Tampa, yesterday walked around the Giants training complex wearing a boot on his right foot. He sat out practice, but Tom Coughlin said, "We fully expect he'll be able to go and play in the game" this Sunday in Kansas City.
Bradshaw against the Buccaneers aggravated a high ankle sprain he said dates all the way back to his freshman year in college.
"I played through a lot of pain during college," Bradshaw said. "I've been able to do that ever since. It always hurts during the game, just a lot of pounding, somebody might fall on it. My style of running you just never know, I do a lot of cutting and I'm always on the edge of my feet."
By keeping the ankle immobilized, the Giants believe Bradshaw will recover enough to not miss any time against the Chiefs.
"I've been through way more pain than this," Bradshaw said. "My ankle's held up until this year. This year when somebody falls on it wrong, it hurts for like two plays then I'm able to play through it."
