Does he have any value left? I was one that figured he would eventually get the starting nod, but Jacobs is tearing it up.
not unless you own jacobs.i would rather own Ward as the handcuff, but at this point if Jacobs goes down those guys will still go off. Ward will start and get the goalline action, but Bradshaw a totally playable FLEX change of pace back.only Ward has any value at this point (I think a mid to weak RB3) moving forward as long as Jacobs proves durable for what they are asking of him.Does he have any value left? yep. Bradshaw's primary value is in dynasty. wish i didn't already own him, because he is a great buy-low candidate in dynasty.I'm holding on to him as an end of the roster DYNASTY sleeper.
That made me to a spit-take on my monitor. Thanks for posting this, needed a laugh on a otherwise dreary hump day.Yes yes yes. There's not a bigger Giants homer on these boards than me, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that Jacobs and Ward are not poster boys for good health. The three RB rotation has helped keep all of them healthy thus far, but it's a long season, and I could easily envision a scenario where Bradshaw is helping teams win FF titles come playoff time -- this year.
If you have the space and he's available on your WW, he would be a fine ahead of the curve pickup IMO.
I love this quote about Bradshaw from BBI's review of the Seahawks game:
"Ahmad Bradshaw, with the exception of his kick return duties, I firmly believe is locked in a box for 3 quarters and various team employees walk by and poke him with sticks to make him mean. Bradshaw picked up 65 yards on 11 carries and had another memorable tackle breaking, Tasmanian Devil like run on the Giants’ final scoring drive of the game. Bradshaw again played like he was shot out of a cannon, and busted through arm tackle after arm tackle en route to a gutty 32 yard run."
I could see Bradshaw overtaking Ward within the next 3 weeks. Much more exposive! That made me to a spit-take on my monitor. Bradshaw will NOT overtake Ward. Ward is in there consistently, provides great protection for his Manning, is a good receiving option from the backfield, and is averaging 6.6 ypc.I could see Bradshaw overtaking Ward within the next 3 weeks. Anyone else care to chime in on the over/under on when Jacobs and/or Ward get injured this season?Yes yes yes. So says a guy with Derrick ward on his team. Just don't be disappointed when it happens.Bradshaw will NOT overtake Ward. I'm skeptical about the "in the next three weeks" projection. What are we (or the coaches!!!!) going to see Bradshaw do in the next three weeks that we haven't seen him do before?Bradshaw has supposedly been "much more explosive" since last season, through the offseason, through the preseason, and through the first 5 weeks of the season...yet Ward is still getting the carries. I agree with what you are saying here. If it is not broke don't fix it.For long term value of the Giant RBs however it is important to recognize that:I'm skeptical about the "in the next three weeks" projection. At some point, the bank stops believing you are going to send them the mortgage payment "in the next few weeks" and they foreclose. I've been hearing this about Bradshaw since last year and I'm not buying it anymore.
He has 2009 value, but for 2008 I don't think he has much value outside of a Jacobs/Ward injury. Jacobs+Ward is working too well, and the Giants are winning with it. Ward is clipping along at 6+ yards per carry and has looked pretty "explosive" as well. Coaches don't phase out that kind of production during winning streaks. Absent an injury, at best you're going to get Jacobs+Ward+Bradshaw.
