With the firing of Kiffen, we now have another demonstration of Al Davis' mental illness. While some of the conditions for megalomania do not apply to Davis (he isn't delusional about his wealth, he is wealthy), the key word for Davis is omnipotence. I know Davis' type. I worked for the president of a company that displayed the exact same tendancies. These tendencies can be summed up like this: Davis built the Raiders himself. He is the reason for their success. The players and coaches are a part of this, but none of Oakland's success would have ever happened without Davis.
