yer right, 1 week to prepare, disregard.....i do think crabtree scores in his home debut, i also think he will catch 9 balls. smith's throwing those....its the other 20 passes that concern me
I'll be starting Smith over Cassel (yes I know it's a weak QB corps). But I'm worried that Tenn might have turned the corner defensively now that Finnegan and Fuller are back. They won't be the easy pickings for other teams that they have been this season.
i'm starting him over cutler this week. i actually picked him up off waivers and dropped garrard. i sure hope this doesn't come back to bite me, but i'm much more confident in smith's ability to get points over garrard's (and cutler's for that matter) at this time.
I'm not sure Cortland Finnegan makes that big of a difference, but with him in the game last week, the Jags could not move the ball. Keep in mind that although the Titans had two weeks to prepare, so did the Jags. Outside of MJD's two long runs, the Jags put up 171 yards on 47 plays. Save the 'You can't manipulate statistics' talk, MJD's runs were more of a product of his sheer talent (and him breaking tackles).
Last week, the Titans looked like anything but the leagues worst defense. Starting Smith ahead of guys like Palmer and Roethlisberger (who are both coming off a bye) would be a mistake IMO.
im starting Ben over Smith. Ben has done nothing but great things for me all year, with one week being sub par, but still reasonable for a bad week. and smith had an equally bad week, sure it was the colts, but Big Ben has been doing it all year.
