Looking for some discussion on players who you expect to break out not in 2014, but in 2015. So disqualify, e.g., Montee Ball, who appears to be the starter for the Broncos now. Other candidates for breakout in 2014 - Patterson and Rudolph on Norv's Vikings - unless you think they'll need a year of seasoning to truly breakout in 2015.

Instead, I'm looking for others in the mold of Marcus Lattimore (I avoided using Christine Michael as an example because we know where that discussion goes) - he figures to split time with Gore and/or Hunter next year, basically his rookie season, but COULD be the lead back in 2015. Others - Mark Ingram will be a free agent in 2015. Lamar Miller, if he's still around, will be 24 and no longer behind with Moreno. Or Da'Rick Rodgers will probably play behind both Nicks and Wayne in 2014, but could be a 24 year old starter in 2015 after Wayne retires and Nicks moves on (assuming he doesn't re-sign). etc. etc.

For the sake of discussion, avoid rookies (as basically all of them qualify based on the fact that they'll be second years, but since none have been drafted, we can't predict any scenarios where they might sit behind a vet for 2014 and shine in 2015).

Who's got that break out potential for the season after next?

I'd agree with Eifert as Gresham will be a FA in 2015, but Floyd has already had his 1,000 yard break out season, and already goes for a 2nd/3rd round pick, closely tailing the group of WRs like Cobb/Allen/Harvin, etc.

That is a long way out, especially since a lot of the prime candidates will be 2014 rookies coming off their learning season.

Eifert makes some sense if Gresham leaves, but I think 2014 is more likely to be his breakout year. It seems like a pretty common pattern with TEs is one year of mediocre production while they adjust to the NFL level followed by significant improvement in year two.

Christine Michael is an obvious candidate. I think Seattle rides Lynch one more season before they let him go.

Bryce Brown is signed through 2016, but he's another cheap guy with interesting long-term potential.

Quinton Patton is never going to be a mega star, but he quietly earned some snaps last season and showed flashes. A 2014 breakout is highly unlikely with Boldin and Crabtree around, but perhaps he can claim a starting job in 2015.

True it is a long way out, and a lot of these players *should* show some promise in 2014 before really taking the next step in 2015. And if that's the case, then the likes of Eifert/Michael/Lattimore, etc., will certainly see an increase in value in 2014 before *hopefully* becoming studs in 2015. The idea is that if you are doing a dynasty startup and basically writing off year one, who would you chose? It makes more sense to go with ALL guys like Eifert/Michael/Lattimore and just tank it year 1 to get the 1.01 or 1.02 pick in 2015 so you can snag Gurley or Yeldon, and then you have a sick combo of RBs.

Other guys who should show up in 2014 but I don't expect to break out until 2015: Pierce, Wilson, Ertz, Dwayne Allen, Wheaton, Stills, Hunter, Woods, maybe Tannehill, maybe Manuel, off the top of my head.

Maybe I should re-phrase not as "who will break out in 2015?" but "who would you target if 2014 was going to be a write-off?"

Marquess Wilson. Remember the name.
This fits nicely assuming Marshall is gone. Can this guy be a starter opposite Jeffery?
Yes, he entered the NFL extremely young and needing his body to mature, he's only 21. I think he's capable of being a great WR2 in the NFL but probably not a War1. He can get behind defenses and will be a great deep threat in a couple of years.
