All Aboard the John Kuhn Express (1 Viewer)

I think you guys are expecting too much. Keep in mind the Packers love to throw at the goal line too. Sure Kuhn will get in every now and then, but if you're expecting McGahee like scores it's not going to happen. People are spending way too much and dropping guys they shouldn't be dropping.
Kuhn may get a small slice but it's a big pie.I'd like some Kuhnpie.
Finley, Driver, Jennings, Jones all get red zone looks. Hell Rodgers runs a few in too. Throw Kuhn in there and that's a lot of people getting red zone touches. If you want to put all your eggs in the Kuhn basket go ahead..

Don't discount the fact that Kuhn plays on the same team as Finley, whose sweat droplets alone will keep the grass in Lambeau green for the next 100 years. Imagine what his presence will do for Kuhn this year. Just sayin'.

Thinking about dropping Turner for Kuhn in my local redraft league. The "Burner" looked anything but on Sunday, I don't want to waste all season thinking he's a must-start just because of where I drafted him and then being disappointed in the results on a weekly basis. Better to shed those kinds of question marks from the roster early in the season and just roll with John "The TD Vulture" Kuhn from here on out. Just not sure how much of my cap to bid on him, I'm thinking he goes for 25-40% this week.

I'm sure a lot of "sharks" will think this is a bad idea... and I will direct them to the multiple bronze trophies, engraved with my name, sitting on the mantel in my man cave. Fortune favors the bold.
Unclutch thy mouse, step away from the keyboard, and take a deep breathe. Gather yourself, and then calmly but with conviction say with me 'dont. do. it.'.
 I'm sure you mean well, but I'd listen to "sound" advice like that if I wanted to go 7-7 every year. I'm looking to win the big bucks (again). Moves like this are how it's done. I'm not managing my team based on what some fantasy football calculator says.
 This guy clearly Gets It.

So it goes.

Kuhn is always a run/catch option near the goal line. He had 3 TDs each of the past two seasons, wouldn't expect many more than that this year.

He will get more carries at the end of games to run the clock but not a starter-worthy amount.

I didn't read this whole thread but don't pick him up.

Just dropped McFadden for the guy. I know McFadden has a good matchup this week but it's only a matter of time until he gets hurt/shares time with Bush. Jackson sucks. Glad to get Kuhn while he's cheap.
This from the same guy who labelled Shonn Greene as a Bust after 1 weekROTFL
I fired up a thread stating we should be concerned. He's still a player I'm holding or buying. Unless you feel there shouldn't be any worries after that game I hardly see what the fuss is about.

That's my point - with all those weapons there are going to be a LOT of opportunities for Kuhn to dive in with less than 5 yards to go. This isn't the Rams...this team will score loads of points.

You guys do realize that Kuhn has never had more than 8 carries in a SEASON!
He had 9 carries YESTERDAY!!, and was targeted in the passing game as well. He's set a new floor for his production, and it's just going to keep going up. If you don't want a 4.0 ypc RB with a rapidly increasing role in the league's most powerful offense, you probably shouldn't be playing fantasy football.ALL ABOARD!!!

Thinking about dropping Turner for Kuhn in my local redraft league.
:lmao: I hate to say, "I told you so," but...Of course, it'll be weeks before the rest of the predictably shortsighted donks in the fantasy world come around, and by then it'll be too late. They'll be skidding to another .500 finish and I'll be adding another trophy to my collection.

9 carries in a blow out game, no thank you. In real games he get 3 to 4 touches. I spend my waiver wire request on someone who can help my team.

I'm pretty sure yesterday was a real game - just because Green Bay is blowing out their opponent (something that will probably happen again, by the way) doesn't mean Kuhn's fantasy points don't count. You know what points don't count, though? The points this week's "hot" WW pickup scored last week while he was still a free agent. If you want to waste your waiver spot chasing last week's points, go for it, but that's a losing formula. I'll be watching that guy "help" your team as I go whizzing by on the John Kuhn Express.

Hey Ignoratio, you do know the "bronze" trophies in your case represent second loser status...aka 3rd place, right?

They give the GOLD ones to the WINNER.

If your commissioner is literally handing out gold trophies, that sounds like a tremendous waste of league resources. I'd rather get a less expensive (though still impressively heavy) bronze trophy for my mancave, and more of that $TRAIGHT CA$H, HOMEY.

So you've got a RBBC between Jax, Kuhn, and Nance on a pass heavy team who uses at least 5-6 other guys in the red zone as well and Kuhn is going to help you win a championship?

Naysayers have been saying the same nays since the invention of fantasy football - I still remember someone posting a roflcopter when I was pimping Shaun Alexander on ol' yeller back in '00. "But he's Ricky Watters's backup LOL." I'm pretty sure at least one or two of my championships is owed to that late pickup. Look, I can't manage your team for you, I can just share the winning secrets. Do whatever you want with the INFO, and please feel free to:
Bump it in January.

Nance is the guy to stash. Think about it. The Packers basically wrote off all their practice squad guys and the available veterans to pluck a guy off Atlanta's practice squad to be their #2?

Something's up. Somebody on that Packers staff was extremely high on him to make that move. BJax looks bad. Kuhn is a short-yardage guy.

Give it a few more weeks.

This is an interesting point...bronze trophy or not. Still, Nance is just a rookie; an undrafted free agent rookie yanked from the practice squad. It certainly would be the underdog storyline of the year if Nance does end up looking good and starting in GB this year.

So Packer run game was bad yesterday especially BJ. Who gets the love vs Detroit this week? Kuhn, Nance, BJ, someone else?

Or just Rodgers padding his stats all day?

I think it's a pretty even Jackson/Kuhn split and they neither are fantasy relevant. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. I need to find a RB badly but I'm looking elsewhere.

Kuhn looked pretty good. I think the haters need to start warming their crow.
He had one good run. So did Jackson. Otherwise both guys looked awful which isn't a surprise because the Bears' run defense is terrific. But neither guy looked good against the Bills either in my opinion. Jackson lacks talent and Kuhn is a plodder. The Green Bay backfield is ugly right now without Grant.

While Kuhn has limited upside, the fact that he is (as mentioned above) a "plodder", getting a split of the carries and goal line / short yardage attempts means he has the potential to be a decent bye week / injury filler for many teams. He won't replace ADP in a lineup, but he will get you 5-12 points depending on TD or not, maybe a chance for higher if he gets lucky and has two short scores. Not impossible with that electric offense.

He hasn't gotten any goal-line carries yet. Jackson got the call against the Bills and scored and he got the carry near the goal line against the Bears. Both players have been used in passing situations inside the 10 but right now Jackson has been given the first crack at carries near the goal line.

 You guys realize those players didn't all enter the rookie draft in the same year, right? Nor were they all studs from day one. It's a dynasty league, not some redraft where I had the first 50 picks. It's not that hard to assemble a powerhouse franchise if you're willing to put in the requisite hours watching film, scouting prospects, and being proactive in trades and free agency.

Kuhn still averaged over 5 yards per carry vs the bears thats not that horrible

That's because he had one good run. I hate the "Take the play away" line of thinking but neither Kuhn nor Jackson ran well against the Bears which was to be expected. Both had one good run and were pretty much bottled up on every other attempt.
