Alternatives to Valium (1 Viewer)

Is there an over-the-counter alternative to Valium? Any vitamins/herbs that anyone can recommend would be greatly appreciated!

If anyone has taken any of these, how do they compare to Valium?

Is this for anxiety?
Yes, anxiety/calm nerves.
I think I can help. Ive had bad anxiety for over 15 years.

You dont worry about fancy herbs and bottled vitamins. The only vitamins I would recommend is iron and magnesium because they are hard to get enough of through food unless you really really love leafy greens. I do but there is only so much a person can stand

A well balanced diet will help just about any physical or mental health problem. Many are due to nurtient imbalances to begin with. Dont touch processed food, salts and sugars. Eat all fresh fruits, veggies and meat. Preferably fish or dark poultry.

Once you adapt to that after a few weeks excersize is the key. Sometimes anxiety is due to a lack of natural adrenaline stimulation. Exercise will pump adrenaline with endorphins to balance it out so it is enjoyable. This way you wont have excess adrenaline that comes out of nowhere when you dont want it. You dont have to jog miles. A few weights or a brisk 30 minute walk a day can make a huge difference. So will a healthy active sex life.

The human body needs stimulation. We no longer get that by fleeing predators every day so you have to make your own. You also need as much sunlight as you can get

Whatever you do dont smoke crack. It will make things worse

I have taken this before but it has been 3 or 4 years, I believe I had a pretty bad hangover type feeling the following morning. If you google it there's a good amount of feedback out there for it. I'd tread lightly though, as this seems to have potency (and thus side effects) comparable to some prescription benzos. This would be for acute dosing, I do not believe this is something you would want to use daily due to tolerance/possible dependence.

The suggestions above for exercise/lifestyle changes are good ideas along with possible counseling if your finances/insurance allow. From what I have read most of the effective anti-anxiety drugs can cause issues with both dependency and rebound anxiety, so I would be careful.
