Initial Cheat Sheet has him at WR16. The 250 Foreward has him at WR41. I know he went off last week against the Philly secondary, but isn't Seattle a better D?

What am I missing here?

The only guess I would think is that, with Shockey maybe out, Toomer would get more targets. Yes, Seattle has a good defense, but Toomer would benefit if Shockey was out.

Don't know.

The Giants keyed on Toomer who was being played by Joselio Hanson (because Lito Sheppard was out and his replacement Rod Hood got hurt during the game). They were looking for him on almost every pass play.

 Toomer will typically be the 4th option on this offense. Those who are suddenly thinking he'll be a Top 20 WR are jumping the gun a weeeeeee bit.

I have some questions of my own about the 250 Forward, especially why it is so reliant on the previous week and why it changes so drastically from week to week. It should be based on future results and less on previous results, which should lower the change weekly. But to answer your question the top 250 forward is for all of the future weeks, while the cheatsheets are for the current week. In terms of Toomer I believe they like the hot hand, and Seattle has some questions in their secondary. He is probably ranked to high, but Toomer has been Eli's go to guy since the end of last year. Where Plax is the big play guy.

As a Plaxico owner, I love all the attention Toomer is getting right now. He was all but an after-thought until Sunday. Now, defenses might game-plan more for him, giving Plaxico more space to operate.

It's early in the year yet so more volatility is to be expected. The flip side, of course, is that if David's rankings were slower to react, people would be yelling "how can Stallworth still be so low?" or "why is Caddy still a top-10 RB?" I definitely have my points of disagreement with the rankings but overall I think he does a fantastic job.

Toomer has put up one of his biggest games early each season for the past few years-

2003 game 2 vs Dallas 126 yds 1 TD (Season high = 127 yds)

2004 game 3 vs Cleveland 126 tds (Season high = 126 yds)

2005 game 3 vs San Diego 84 yds (Season high = 85 yds)

2006 game 2 vs Philly 137 2 TDs (Season high = ??)
