Amazing league Parity (1 Viewer)

MarcO

Footballguy
After the game tonight my league will look like this:

2 teams at 5-3 (me being one of them)

8 teams @ 4-4 (includes top scorer)

3 teams @ 3-5

1 team @ 2-6 (has more total points than half of the 4-4 teams)

I guess you could call it parity but whatever, it will make for a stressful stretch run...

Slightly worse in my WCOFF league (12 teams)

3 teams @ 5-3

6 teams @ 4-4

3 teams @ 3-5

Hard to get much closer than that - three weeks left to determine best record and most points for LCG

(and then next best record and remaining most points for 3rd place game)

ooooh ... parity.

I thought the title said Amazing league party and was expecting some kind of trash-the-hotel-room, 50-strippers-and-a-goat, kind of story about this past Sunday.

going into Week 8 we had 6 of 12 teams @ 4-3; this year it seems that the scoring will be down across the board or high across the board.....

that's been the case in our league too -and weirdly enough if there are only two really low scoring teams in a week - they have played each other. A strange year...

12 Team PPR league, top six spots go to our playoffs.

5-2 -- five teams

4-3 -- three teams

2-5 -- two teams

1-6 -- one team

0-7 -- one team

Definitely two tiers, but it should be interesting come playoff time how the Top 6 are arranged.

16 teams, mirrored distribution top to bottom

7-1 = 1

6-2 = 2

5-3 = 4

4-4 = 2

3-5 = 4

2-6 = 2

1-7 = 1 *if he wins tonight against one of the expected 2-6 teams.

12 team auction/contract dynasty

prior to week 8:

6-1 1 team

5-2 3 teams

4-3 2 teams

3-4 1 team

2-5 5 teams

12 team league

PRIOR to week 8

4-3 teams = 7

3-4 teams = 4

2-5 teams = 1

I was 3-4 (4-4 now) and am glad to have one of the higher scoring teams in our league in case of any ties at end of reg. season. I think the parity is due to there being only a small handfull of players who are head and shoulders above the others at their position, LT & LJ being 2 examples. Fortunatly I have LT in my league.

Slightly worse in my WCOFF league (12 teams)3 teams @ 5-36 teams @ 4-43 teams @ 3-5Hard to get much closer than that - three weeks left to determine best record and most points for LCG(and then next best record and remaining most points for 3rd place game)
Wow.

Change that, Dillon didn't get the 5 points he needed. Guess that's the story for an 0-8 team.

Our league -

2 @ 6-2

2 @ 5-3

4 @ 4-4

3 @ 3-5

1 @ 1-7

That last one is my team. Woo hoo! I used to dominate this league, but for the last 3 years, I have had records 0f 7-6, 6-7 and now 1-7. The last two years are because I sucked, this year I have the 4th highest scoring team in the league and have just run nto a buzzsaw each week. That and I suck.

10 team league. 5 teams @ 5-35 teams @ 3-5Spooky...

12 team basic scoring auction league.

1 team at 6-2 (me) :)

about 8 teams at 5-3

one or two teams at 4-4 (this guy is 2nd in the league in points scored!)

and a couple of bottom feeding teams.

10 Team Auction League - Standard Scoring

6 teams @ 5-3, all tied for best record.

The first time in the past 10 seasons we have had this many teams, this close, this late in the season.

Interesting that the points scored varies widely( 200 point spread) but the records have all stabilized @ 5-3.

Division C:

2-6

Six of the teams in the 5-3/4-4 range play each other this week, and we move back to division play in week 11. I'm 3-5 and technically 1 game out of a playoff spot. I need to go on a winning streak and get some help from others....

ERROR - Does not computeThat means that there are 55 total wins, but 59 total losses, which is impossible. :nerd:

Everyone's still in it except the last guy. I'm 3-5 but my division mates are 4-4, 3-5 (with a loss to me) and 1-7, so I've certainly still got a shot at making the playoffs. Then who knows what might happen.

We determine our two wildcard teams by points scored. Our top team has 580 and lowest has 383 with only 51 points between 8 teams. High scores in our league have been 100- 107 points with low scores being about 30-40 on a bad week. It's the closest this league has been since it's inception in 1998. I believe it has to do so much with the RBBC approach and the lack of true RB's. Our top team is doing it with P.Manning while the second tier has LT and McNabb.

This close to my league.5 teams @ 5-3 <- I'm in the mix for 1st right now.4 teams @ 4-42 teams @ 2-61 team @ 1-7

7-1 (one team)

6-2 (two teams)

5-3 (three teams)

3-5 (three teams)

2-6 (two team)

1-7 (one team)

Half the league has a winning record, half the teams have a losing record. Same number of inverted records (one 7-1 and 1-7 team, two 6-2 and 2-6 teams, and three 5-3 and 3-5 teams)

Our league after ten weeks -

1 team at 7-3

4 teams at 6-4

3 teams at 5-5

2 teams at 4-6

2 teams at 3-7

8 teams make the playoffs after week 13, so no team has clinched and no team has been eliminated. Most likely though, we have 7 teams battling for the final 3 playoff spots.
