Amazon Prime Day Deals (2 Viewers)

What deals have you found?

Only thing I'm seeing so far is for the Collagen I use:

Well, I had a ton of household and miscellaneous stuff in the save for later section of my cart. New house getting new things, so waiting for today. Many of the items are now Prime Day deals. Few of them have actually gone down in price though and a few went up. A typical example goes like this. A $79.99 item in my cart had a $20 coupon. Today it is on sale for 63.99 but the coupon is gone. Um, it's $4 more. Disappointing. It's also 59.99 at Walmart. Anyway, various power supplies for led lighting are good deals, so I grabbed a few, and it's always a good time to grab Amazon products, so I picked up another Fire HD10 tablet.

Good luck.

They should just call this Fire Stick day.

I needed new car floor mats and a dehumidifer. Ultimately the ones I bought today were not specified as Prime Day deals, but got decent prices on both items.
I need a couple of these. I've only bought one in my life so I have no idea what a good price is for them.

They’re amazing. We have one on every TV, even if the Tv has its own version. (The fire sticks are faster)

It’s nice to just plug and play and not have to manually set up each stick on each TV.

You might have thought that I was going to tell you a good price but you would be mistaken, silly bones!

I added maybe 12 "nice to have" items to a list over the last 3 weeks. The only one that had any discount from Prime Day were some cheap wire baskets, which were down 20% ($4.00). Kind of disappointing. I still ordered a few things I was going to get anyway, but waiting for Prime Day discounts didn't really help me.

If you want off-brand electronics, kids toys/crafts, and household stuff, it's probably still a draw, but I haven't found deals that good in a few years on Prime Day.

*ETA - and Amazon devices - I'll echo (no pun intended) what others have said - Fire Sticks are awesome. I have like 3-4 now. A few in TV's for streaming, and one that I travel with so I don't have to log in/out of hotel devices and such.

I'm switching from Google Home to Alexa. Anyone got a quick primer on which Alexa devices are actually good, and which ones suck?

I got my sister a Ring doorbell and Ring camera. Her birthday is this month. One is 45% off and the other 40%. You can get them in a bundle for 50% off.

Keeping an eye on the lightning deals. Pulled the trigger on a few air purifiers at 40% off - have been meaning to buy some for a while. Will be passing on the electric unicycle, cat DNA tests, and deli-grade meat slicer.

Ooof. Just bought an amp and speakers to go with one of the aforementioned power supplies. I'll keep this short but provide some background.

Cheapaudioman's frontrunner for product of the year. It has some dodgy reviews at Amazon, thus the oof. I have the A07 he mentions and like the idea of deploying this as a preamp. I also really really like the usb input for pc use. It's the best signal source out of most pcs. It has a pre-out for a powered sub, so I'm setting up a 2.1 pc system that should be far better than what I am using atm.

Prime Day Deal with additional 5% coupon - under $100.

Earlier I bought this power supply and this power supply. Both should get all the amp can give, the former probably a little cleaner, the latter easier to hook up and with a little headroom.

It wasn't a Prime Day deal that pushed me in. I just stumbled upon this deal by Klipsch. People have been paying $250 for those and gushing about the new tweeters. Half price, free shipping from Klipsch - no brainer.

Got a bunch of stuff for son going to college. Pretty happy with the prices for everything we got. Also grabbed one more fire stick.

Bought 3 firesticks. Gonna be here this afternoon. Thanks for the reminder fellas.

Tell me why the firestick is so great and you gotta have multiples of them. Aren't they just a USB that stores streaming apps? You still have to pay for the app subscriptions, right?

I guess I just don't get the reason to get one of these things.

It stores all the apps I use in one place and has a remote so I can go from app to app easily.

I have one for each TV.

What do you use to run your streaming apps? It's inexpensive, you can sideload on it, runs much better than apps on a TV. I personally don't like them but I use Nvidia Shield TV Pro.

My TV has all the apps in one place (on the home screen) and I can go from app to app that way. Seems like it would be about the same. Is the firestick just a tool for non-smart TV's? So if you have a smart TV they really don't do much for you?

Just trying to figure out if I need to get one of these things so I am trying to find out what it actually does for me. I assume you still have to pay all your streaming service subscriptions (so the firestick doesn't get you any of those services included)?

I just use my smart TV home screen. All the apps are loaded there.

So the firestick is better than that, has more options, and can sideload other apps like IPTV streamers. Tend to be much better at streaming since they have better networking capabilities.

I use my firestick over the preloaded apps. It's a lot faster and as my TV gets older the processing engine gets older.

Anyone have a rec for a good deckside mosquito trap? Ideally two or three, non electric and portable -- just to put around the perimeter while we're actually sitting out side in the late afternoon/evening?

Agree with everything you posted.

firesticks are good if you have an older tv. once your tv gets 3+ years old it starts to be overcome by the processing requirements. not to mention a lot of TV's can't get the software updates after several years.

so getting firesticks is a cheap way to basically upgrade your tv software by buying a new one every couple of years.

I told my wife this, and she texted me back

"BUY IT NOW!!"

Thanks for the link.

Genius, not sure why I've never thought of that....nothing worse than those apps where you still have to type in your username and password from a hotel tv remote. I pretty much just give up and move on to an app I can sign into with a QR code.

Ended up buying the Kindle Scribe. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFZSPSH...K63ZQEBA&psc=0&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it

We have 2 very old kindle tablets( have to be close to 10 years old) we use for reading, but they are so old can only add books from a computer/phone browser, and none of the Apps work any more.

I've also been looking at the remarkable tablet as I've never gotten the hang of typing notes during meetings, so end up writing notes, then typing them later in email, or saving to OneNote.

With the scribe I can send the notes as text and copy/paste..

So, 2 devices in one.
Regular price $470, Prime days price $325 and I had $150 in Amazon gift cards to use, so ended up getting it for less than $200.

Got me some new airpods, my old ones work well for listening but the mic died. I will give the old ones to some teen in need or whatever.

Wife got a 40 inch TV for her office. Sure she claims it's for meetings or whatever but she really wants to stream Seinfeld and Friends.

We have 2 first model Echo dots and haven't had any issues.
We also have the Echo show 10 and love it. Wife loves using to watch cooking videos while cooking. 😋
