Amazon Problem - Any Way around this? (1 Viewer)

I have an amazon prime account. My kids' kindles are registered to them. I use the prime basically for the free shipping.

I got my wife a Kindle fire which she loves. She also has an amazon account

Also got the Amazon Fire stick for "her" TV.

She has a bunch of Amazon music and pictures on HER cloud drive.

I have bought a bunch of Amazon music but don't currently have that much on the cloud right now.

It looks like the Prime membership isn't shareable (except for shipping) so if she wants to access the cloud drive from her account, the Kindle fire and fire stick have to be registered to her and her account needs the Prime.

So it looks like either

- pay for Prime twice or

- put prime on her account and don't renew the Prime on mine

Any way around this?

Not sure why you don't just use one account...
She's had her own account for several years, ordering music and the like. Plus, around Christmastime, you don't see what the other person has ordered.

I can't believe I'm the only married male in this country with this predicament.

I shared my prime to my wife and kids. I don't see what they order and they don't see what I order. Doesn't cover the years worth of cloud based music though.

Streaming video I have myself logged into the devices with the app so anyone can watch. Wish it was like Netflix...they know more than one person will be using it so it's one account with multiple profiles. Start it up and it asks which one of us is using it.

And that's why I have registered the three kindles in the family to my account. But to access her cloud, the Fire TV stick has to be registered to her account. So it looks like my only option is to add Prime to her account, don't renew mine in April, and then move 3 kindles and 4 android phones to her account.

Of course then those phones and kindles lose any books they haven't finished.

Of course I guess I could return the Fire TV stick, get a chromecast, and ask my wife to "unsee" the cloud features.

Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
