I am sure many fellow Giants fans (esp. those like myself that made it no further than the 2nd fantasy playoff game to fall back on) pretty much feel like a good part of the NFL season is over. Yeah, we love football and will get into the games, but when your team just lays (this many) eggs to render the final week meaningless it's just not the same.
So a few min back, while flipping through the channels, come accross America's Game on NFL channel. I presume, like always, its some 70's Cowboys team, or the who cares Tampa Bay Bucs (sorry Cap) or something... but wait! The ridiculously special (for a Giants fan) sporting event to end all sporting events was on.
Im not sure how long this glow will last, but its still amazingly fresh. It takes time to know what game, season, team means the most to you in your sports viewing life. It's becoming clear that this is the one for me personally.
Oh, and a great say to console me during a lost season for the Giants
(Go Ravens, my second team.... also choking it away)
PS - Great series, whether it's your team or not. But when it is, all the better. :whoosh:
