An Interesting Issue with a League Payout (1 Viewer)

One of my leagues has yet to pay out for last year. The individual who took second place sadly passed away.

It seems obvious that the 'right' thing to do is try to contact his family and give his payout to them. However, I am not sure that anyone in the league has any contact with the family or has a way to contact them unless they are monitoring his email.

So, if we fail to get a hold of his family, what do you guys think should be done with the money?

I do not know. That is a good question. My assumption is that his family went into his email and contacted people to inform. I have not been in any of the communication and just got the info from the commish.

If you truly can't contact his family (and every effort should be made), then my suggestion would be to give the money in his name to a charity related to how he died.

Anybody suggesting any kind of carryover to the rest of the league is scum in my book, BTW. Not saying anyone did, but I still felt it needed to be said.

Depends on the money involved. You might want to buy a trophy & name it for him...
