Anarchy Opens His Concert Vault - Free Prince (1 Viewer)

In honor of what would have been Prince's 61st birthday, I will reopen the music vault to those that are interested. Back when he died in 2016, I did a giveaway of 100+ hours of live Prince material. unfortunately, that multi-page thread seems to have been purged.

Essentially, all the music is audio only in mp3 format. I will snail mail people the music through the USPS. I can send it on either DVDs or on a thumb drive for anyone that would like a copy.  PM if you are interested.

Interesting.

100+ hours is probably more than I could digest. Do you have some favorite cuts?

I like his entire range, but really came into him around 1999 and Purple Rain. I went backwards from there.

I especially like his guitar work and am interested in variations from original cuts (I don't have any real knowledge on what is out there).

I don't care as much about vocal quality as emotion - but Prince has always been tight.

So - cool.

It is, but you don't need to listen to it all at once.  I got this giveaway back at the time of his death (Thanks again, Anarchy!), and I still haven't listened to everything.  But it is a hell of a collection.

Excellent. Thnx. If it is easiest to transmit in bulk, then I will take it all.

I will pm you my e-mail @Anarchy99

What ever method is easiest for you is fine by me.

As good as place as any to put this

The Book of Prince: The Cinematic Masterpiece you won’t get to see

Netflix & Ezra Edelman - the documentarian who won an Oscar for O.J.: Made in America reached an agreement with Prince’s estate to have access to the Paisley Park Vault to create a documentary of his life. Years of interviews with more than 75 close associates interspersed with never before seen footage.

The result was a 9 hour tour de force, an intimate look into his childhood and how those experiences shaped him. Which will never be seen by the public.

Last month, Netflix announced that it had come to a “mutual agreement” with the Prince estate to not release Edelman's project, and instead produce a new documentary featuring “exclusive content from Prince’s archive.”

Presumably one that is sanitized & won’t sully his mysterious persona.

Welp, of all my threads to get randomly bumped, this one wasn’t one I was expecting. May have to throw on some tunes from TAFKAP.

Any concert with Batdance, Trust, My Name is Prince, Cream and Purple Rain?
Nope.

- Batdance was only performed on the 1990 tour.
- Trust was never performed live.
- My Name Is Prince was only performed on the 1993 tour (and one date in 1992).
- Cream made a few appearances starting in 1991 before being a regular thing in 1992 (all the way through 2016 in various versions),
- The first performance of Purple Rain was the one in the movie in 1983. Prince performed that show the most over his career (over 1,000 times).
