Andre Brown fractured the same leg he broke last year. He says it is a small break but who knows how much time he'll miss.
Torain. The #3 RB doesn't get many touches for the Giants, about 20 a season. Cox has won the KR job so he'll be the 3rd active RB. Giants have other options to plug in at RB if Wilson and Torain need a rest like Hynoski or Pascoe if they choose not to give Cox some carries.Who steps in to #2. Probably not Cox...... Da'Rel Scott ?
Just cut Brown for Indy def (for week 1).Is there any reason to wait to cut Brown at this point?
Depends on the break. If fibula RBs have come back fast beforeIs there any reason to wait to cut Brown at this point?
He was the first name I thought of. Maybe Michael Turner. Unless they let Torrain handle it until his annual injury occurs.Beanie Wells? Surely Coughlin remembers when he tore them up.
Depends on the timetable for his healing. The Giants have a week 9 bye, it wouldn't be a shock if they plan on a week 10 return so he can heal and get back into game condition so he doesn't have some kind of leg strain or pull.Anyone holding?
Spent a mid round pick on him, and not sure there's any flyers out there.
I would think the only way he holds value is if he has a quicker than expected return and Wilson struggles while he's gone.
If that's the timetable he'll go on the PUPDepends on the timetable for his healing. The Giants have a week 9 bye, it wouldn't be a shock if they plan on a week 10 return so he can heal and get back into game condition so he doesn't have some kind of leg strain or pull.Anyone holding?

I think he goes on PUP. That would give him 7 weeks of healing and opens up a roster spot.If that's the timetable he'll go on the PUPDepends on the timetable for his healing. I don't think he's eligible for PUP. He'd have to go onto IR designated to return.I think he goes on PUP. I am not familiar with all the PUP rules. What makes him ineligible?I don't think he's eligible for PUP. He'd have to go onto IR designated to return.I think he goes on PUP. Just did some reading on a fresh article at Bleacher Report. Two kinds of PUP: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1752988-nfl-pup-list-whos-on-it-and-what-does-it-mean-for-each-player-team/page/2He already played, he can't go on PUP.

long and distinguishedWhat's Wilson's injury history going back to his college days?
I'm in the same boat after drafting last week and picking Andre Brown at the end of the 9th round. I don't know what the shark move is. Waiting for a definitive time table (i.e. hoping for a quick return of 4-6 weeks) may be prudent, because he will have value if he can return and spell Wilson in that time frame, but to me, it looks more like it may be much longer (6 to 8+ weeks) before he returns AND becomes fantasy-relevant and productive. In which case, I would rather fill that spot with a FA flyer still available like J.Rodgers, Helu, or Julius Thomas which may payoff during that time frame. Even with a bit of optimism, Andre Brown seems to have too many question marks to still have much value on my roster pre-week 1.This guy has a crazy injury history and a crazy healing history. I actually could see him back in 3-4 weeks. Still a cut for me in redraft.
Even if Brown comes back in a few weeks, who is to say that he won't be injured again? I mean really, the presumption should be that he WILL be injured again. His injury track record is the most consistent aspect of his past performance.I'm in the same boat after drafting last week and picking Andre Brown at the end of the 9th round. That's big. I guess it wasn't such a tiny fracture after all, which is what Brown proclaimed.ex-ghost said:Bown placed in short term IR, missing first 8 games.
Fortunate for owners still to draft, no need for Wilson owners to handcuff with Brown either. With week 9 bye, earliest he sees the field is week 10. Safe to drop.

- Can anyone cofirm or deny that Brown has been put on the short term IR? I'm seeing conflicting reports, thinking about dumping him and grabbing Stephan Taylor for the heck of it...
