Rarely new information on Monday on players who did not play on Sunday, but as some additional food for thought, keep an eye on the MRI results on Schaub's hip for he had great chemistry going with Johnson and if Schaub is out when Johnson comes back, I'd knock Johnson down a notch.

In one league I have KJ. No way would I trade him for Johnson. In another I have Johnson and would trade him for KJ in a heartbeat. Maybe I'll offer that and see what happens.

The "bid-ask" spread seems to be Week 11 (after bye) or IR (injury has taken longer to heal and involved a sprain of 2 ligaments).

I traded away C.Benson 3 weeks ago for A.J and lost to the guy i traded him away to as benson put up 15 points that week....oh well.
I think he`s worth the risk if you can leave him on your bench until further notice...he was playing lights out before he was hurt but can he pick up where he left off??? I doubt it , at least 2 games AFTER WEEK 9 mabe he comes on , just in time for FF playoffs.

*ACF Warning*Didn't want to turn this into a full blown ACF thread (it already was borderline) but I have ADP and LT (both cuffed with MT/CT) and my WR's are Plax, Boldin, and Curry. I can afford AJ to ride the pine until he gets healthy, but if he's going on the IR I'd rather get something else for KJ. So maybe targetting AJ isn't a bad thing for me assuming he contributes by Week 9 or 11. Guess I should shop around and see what offers come my way before I commit to anything./*ACF Warning*

I would say no sooner then week 11, the other WR's Davis and Walter are doing better each week, no need to rush back and risk injury again.

Not to harp on sources, but what is Manfull's source? Kubiac? Johnson? He own guess?It's just that we've seen contradicting information over the past couple of weeks on this injury so the source seems particularly important here.

There was some conjecture on another FF website from "Houston Insiders" that there was "concern" over the "slow healing of AJ. It also suggested that a 2nd ligament beyond the MCL was also "sprained" and thus there was concern about the whole year. Nothing solid, but concern. I couple the above with the fact that he is being ruled out know for the next 2 weeks already as a really bad sign. Injuries that linger well beyond the original time estimate in most instances linger because they were more "severe" than originally thought.I got turned down by someone by offering AJ for Brandon Marshall. His value is dropping like a rock.

News: According to the Houston Chronicle, Texans WR Andre Johnson might not be back on the field until Week 11, when Houston returns from their bye week. Johnson is trying to regain the strength in his left knee and still did not have full range of motion in it last week.
Analysis: This news must just make Johnson's Fantasy owners want to cry. The stud WR hasn't played since Week 2 and by the time he gets back, many owners could be too far back to make the playoffs. Still, he is too good to drop so hang on to him and hope he puts up some nice numbers on his return.
My Spin: This news makes me want to cry as an Andre DAVIS owner, this guys has been a stud! I'm not "happy" that Andre Johnson is injured, I hope he's back soon, but after all my bye week blues are gone. Andre Davis has covered my bye weeks like a champ!

Davis has been ok...but Johnson led the league in receptions last year and was on a tear this year until the injury. PPR gold. Fortunately Gates has been a great flex WR/TE for me and saving me and giving me a good cushion in standings. I just hope he comes back week 11 as a man on a mission and on a team that's got a chance for playoff contention.

I was pointing it out to AJ owners. Your way off on this one. Dawson is a GREAT pickup this week.

I was actually in the same boat as the OP and thinking of offering KJ and Driver for AJ. After going through this though, that looks to be major overpaying. I think I might do Chatman and Driver though, it really doesnt effect my team.
This thread seemed to digress though from the original point, and I think AJ is a great guy to be trading for right now. If you have him, you probably need the help right now to help a run for the playoffs. If you want him, your team is probably solid and your looking for someone who could be playoff gold, not to mention he'd be easier to get off the other teams hands for the aforementioned reasons.
Im still trying to get him despite not being back until week 11. Thats plenty of time to warm up for the start of the week 14 playoffs. If he doesnt pan out, oh well, no skin off my back

I think the "back in week 11" is looking like speculation now. He could be out long after that. If they drop out of the playoff hunt, they might just shut him down. I think week 11 is looking less and less likely. Not even a real practice yet, and six weeks out of game shape. if the Texans don't win more without him, he might not see the field again this year.

I agree with what you're saying. When I offered Chatman and Driver, I actually said week 11 at this point is 'speculation'. If he accepts, I'm losing my RB6 and WR3/4 for a guy who if he's playing then is a WR1/2. What Im trying to get at is that as long as you don't hurt your team or give up a lot to get him, he can only help your team.
I fail to see how it's "speculation" that he'll be back in Week 11. I think it's far more speculative to suggest he'll be out longer. He has been sprinting, doing work outs, etc. It was a sprain, not a tear. I can't see any reason he wont be back in Week 11. He has over 3 weeks to prepare to get back on the field for Week 11. Sure it's possible he has a setback or the injury is worse than we were led to believe, but it isn't like he's still on crutches. I don't think there's any reason to doubt his return in 3 weeks.

I just offered C. Benson, A. Johnson and Javon Walker for Kevin Jones and Plaxico Burress plus a swap of first round picks next year. My team is 5-2 and tied for 2nd. The other owner is 1-6 and tied for last. Havent seen a response yet.

uh, it seems he's out of it this year, and he's packing it in for next year by upgrading 1st round picks and perhaps upgrading his keepers.anyway, AJ has not played since week 2. no way any owner that has held onto him THIS long is going to part with him for nothing on the cusp of his return.
I was thinking the same. It seems like that is the offer that the other guy would make to the winning team...

That trade only makes sense if you're 1-6 and he's 5-2.
Thanks for the update. I highly doubt he plays next week, but I have to believe that 3 weeks is ample time to get "game-ready". They definitely shouldn't be out of the playoff hunt at that point (with 7 games left). At worst, they'll be 3-6, assuming losses to both San Diego AND Oakland. I think they'll split the next 2 games, putting them at 4-5 heading into Week 11, and needing to go at least 5-2 or more likely 6-1 in their final 7 games to make the playoffs. If they drop the next 2 games, that casts some doubt on whether or not he'd be sidelined as a precaution, but if he is healthy what's the point in resting him? have a chance to trade him for KJ straight up in a dynasty league..I'd hate to lose AJ, but he's worth zero pts right now, whereas KJ is scoring fantasy pts and getting more involved.
