Andrew Quarless - waiver wire gold for championship week? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I am curious on thoughts on Quarless. With Flynn at the helm the back up TE has put up 2 consistent good games. Each week he posted:

Week 14: 7 targets - 6 receptions for 66 yards 1TD

Week 15: 6 targets - 6 receptions for 66 yards 1TD

In week 14 he lead the team in targets, week 15 he was behind Nelson at 9, J.Jones at 7, and tied with Boykins for 6 targets.

If Flynn is the starter this week yet again. Do you think the production continues. I looks like Flynn and Quarless are developing chemistry.

Discuss.......

If you have Cameron and Reed...yeah, id probably take a look at Quarless if Flynn is starting again.

Though, Cameron should be ok against the Jets who have not been great against TEs this year. Pitt has held most TEs pretty low too. Clay had a very good game against them and Gronk...thats about it.

May have to look at him long and hard after Pitta's clunker last night.

I'm just hoping Jamal Charles erases any need for my tight end to do anything again.

Was a Gronk/Reed owner who thought he struck gold landing Pitta when he returned. In pure panic mode after Pitta's performance last night. Quarless is my only option right now for the championship.

in the same boat. thought Pitta would be serviceable but he was almost invisible last night. (except getting run over when he tried to block)

I am torn between Ertz and Quarless

I posted about Quarless in the Fleener thread. I think Fleener owners should be taking a good look at Quarless this week if you don't have another TE1 option. Fleener's matchup against KC is not a good one and Quarless is definitely coming on although it has been with Flynn so there is some risk if Rodgers starts. But I'd be willing to take on the risk given who the QB is.

I am really wondering about Pitta's snap count, it seemed like almost every time I looked Dickson was in there, not him, which was really frustrating since Dickson actually caught 2-3 passes.

BAL kicked 6 flippin' FGs, you'd think they could have used Pitta last night.

Not sure about PIT as a defensive matchup.

Flynn, yikes. These good games have come against Atlanta & Dallas. Look at the Detroit game. Look at how the Cowboys game was going, a better coached team would have kept GB off the field. Actually if Rodgers is in there I'd start both Quarless and Jordy.

I had Finley once upon a time, it would be nice kismit to use Quarless. Actually I have gone through (I think) 15 TE's this year, including Finley and Reed. I just need to hit it one week now.

Other options: Ertz, Eifert (if Gresham's out, vs MIN).

6-66 two weeks in a row? too many 6's!!!
If he gets one more, forget starting him, you'll have to ritually sacrifice him in order to prevent the End Times!

Dennis Pitta played on 30-of-66 snaps (45.4 percent) in Monday night's win over the Lions.

Just another note about Quarless: 2 weeks ago PIT allowed Clay's big game (7/97/2); last week CIN TEs went 6/56/1. The two weeks before that Cameron did not do much and Dickson/Clark did not do much. Still I like that little 2 game run opposing TEs are on.

Also could be cold in GB (understatement of the year I guess...) so maybe Flynn keeps the passing game short (and doesn't he always...).

Also - Woodley is out, I'd like to think that helps.
