I can't wait to try this out. My Moto X is still stock, but I might have to root so I can get root early. I'm still on 4.4.2.

Am I able to load this up on my Note S3, or do I have to wait for an official realease sort of thing?

the official release wont be until fall, most likely.

but developer releases are coming out today. they will be leaked by today. and can be "sideloaded" to your device.

but again, theyre developer versions atm. and can have quite a few bugs/lags/compatibility issues w apps

I haven't kept up with much Android stuff lately, but if they're going to 5.x, this seems like it will be a major update. The last two significant updates (JB and Kitkat) remained at 4.x and the UI stayed pretty similar, but when they've gone up a version number, it's always meant big changes.

Didn't KitKat just come out?
Andoid development moves very fast. KitKat was more about optimizing the code which helps it run fast on lesser hardware. That's why if you buy an Android device, it's better to run pure Android on it.
