Whats he supposed to say? "They stink and we're going to throttle them this week just like we have the other patsies of the league"?Just saw a clip of this on SportsNation. Pretty hilarious.
He could say what Antonio Pierce said...that it's like playing a scrimmage.Whats he supposed to say? "They stink and we're going to throttle them this week just like we have the other patsies of the league"?Just saw a clip of this on SportsNation.

http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2009/10...ing-the-raiders"I do not like knocking teams. But right now, they're struggling. We're playing that game the other day and, honestly, it felt like a scrimmage, like a practice. It felt like we were going against our offense (in a controlled setting) as far as the tempo.
"There was no vibe of trying or effort from the Raiders at all from a defensive standpoint against their offense. We're getting three-and-outs. You don't hear nobody (saying), 'Hey, let's go!' trying to pick the guys up, rallying them, getting guys fired up. There was nothing. It was quiet. A guy gets sacked or somebody gets beat, they just get up. It's not like there's yelling or no kind of (emotion) about the way they were playing.
"It was shocking to be out there in that game and get that kind of feeling."
Wow.He could say what Antonio Pierce said...that it's like playing a scrimmage.

That's brutal.Leave him in there, it makes an easy decision to take the point spread.Seriously if they had a QB they would be decent and not the abyss of a team they are with JaMarcus in there. Time to pull the plug on the kid
they arent even the worst team in their division let alone the whole league.I've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN. Has anyone ever seen another team pull their starting QB before halftime because the game was already decided?

Huh? At least KC appears to be making an effort to turn things around.they arent even the worst team in their division let alone the whole league.I've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN. Al can't do that because it would be admitting that LANE WAS RIGHT. Even if Lane never said that, Al dug his grave (pun intended) by publicly backing Jamarcus as part of his ploy not to pay Lane the remainder of his contract. Al is a pretty hard-headed guy, and it would not surprise me at all (eventhough Rome is crumbling at his feet) for him to keep Russell in, as taking him out would admit Lane was right.Seriously if they had a QB they would be decent and not the abyss of a team they are with JaMarcus in there. Some random Raider fan can remind us now how the Pats 2011 1st rounder from the Rai-duhs won't be top 10.OMG.. imagine its the 1st overall...I disagree. I'd be interested to get your take. The Raiders, right now, are simply non-competitive. They look like a college team.
give him a break...'Sniffer is a Charger fan, living in Detroit'nuff said...the boy is delusional!and B is correct...they are the worst---G'men could have hung 60 on them w/little effortHuh? And you aren't even mentioning Davis' control over paly call and defensive schemes.Yup. As has been said before, the Raduhs will never be competitive as long as Al Davis is in control.I disagree. To be fair the Raiders did beat the Chiefs, in Kansas City no less.you been watchin the NFL this season?they arent even the worst team in their division let alone the whole league.I've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN. IIRC, that was one of Roethlisberger's first games back after his motorcycle accident and having his appendix(?) removed. That said, that Raiders team was better than this Raiders team and this Eagles team is better than that Steelers team.Forgive me if I get a few details wrong here because I'm just going from an admittedly fuzzy memory, but there was a Steelers - Raiders game a few years ago that the Raiders won despite being outgained by something like 400 yards to 100. The final was something like 21-6 Raiders, and it was all the result of turnovers and returns. The Steelers owned them except they would get into the red zone and cough it up.Reid knows he doesn't mean what he says about the "inch away" but he has to say something like that. You can't go into any team's city and just assume a cake walk. If you're not sharp, goofy things happen and you can lose. I think that's what happened to the Steelers that day.

Come on, let's not get crazy here. Sure, the Chargers have looked terrible, but it's way too soon to say that they're worse than the Raiders.they arent even the worst team in their division let alone the whole league.I've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN. You might be thinking of the 2002 Houston/Pittsburgh game that the Texans won 21-6 on the strength of three defensive touchdowns.Forgive me if I get a few details wrong here because I'm just going from an admittedly fuzzy memory, but there was a Steelers - Raiders game a few years ago that the Raiders won despite being outgained by something like 400 yards to 100. I think I was combining the two since both happened to PIT. I looked up the Raider game and it's as Travdogg said, a post-head injury Ben game.http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/gamecenter/li...0061029_PIT@OAKCome on, let's not get crazy here. Was it Deion who said the Giants pulled Eli because they didn't want him to hurt his other foot kicking the Raiders butts?I've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN. Steelers outgained the Raiders 360-98 and the final was 20-13 Oakland (not 21-6 as I guessed earlier).
Andrew Walter threw for 51 yards, Ben threw for 301 yards.
Raiders scored on two interception returns (24 and 100 yds), and got a couple FGs off turnovers. Ben threw 4 INTs.
The Houston - Pittsburgh game in 2002 was 24-6 and as you said was another turnover-won game.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/gamecenter/re...0021208_HOU@PIT
David Carr threw for 33 yards for HOU, Maddox for 325 yards for PIT, and overall the yardage was 422-47!!!
But, the Steelers had 2 INTs (both returned for TDs, of 70 and 65 yards) and 3 lost fumbles (one of them returned 40 yards for a score).
Ouch.
Anyway, fun to look back but the point of it all is that sometimes crazy things happen.

You apparently missed the 2006 version of the Raiders, starringI've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN. Has anyone ever seen another team pull their starting QB before halftime because the game was already decided?
Sort of. His waistline measures 32 cheesesteak sammiches, end to end.I thought Andy only measured in $5 footlongs?
Shannon Sharpe. Only thing funny about Deion is his clothesWas it Deion who said the Giants pulled Eli because they didn't want him to hurt his other foot kicking the Raiders butts?I've been watching football for 25 years and this is THE WORST TEAM I"VE EVER SEEN.
