I think you are underrating Turner. No such thing as too many polls about a RB who will probably be the greatest of all time.
Well, i underrate him more than you think, i only think he will be the best RB of this century, i was just trying to stick to the general consensus of this board though, so i said "of all time".I think you are underrating Turner. No such thing as too many polls about a RB who will probably be the greatest of all time.
Now I'm worried about agreeing with you on Alexander. I may have to re-evaluate.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. TIANo such thing as too many polls about a RB who will probably be the greatest of all time.
I may be undervaluing him a little, but i can assure you that i will be alot closer than these people:Green BayTop 5 [ 1 ] [4.00%] 6-10 [ 10 ] [40.00%]Now I'm worried about agreeing with you on Alexander. You think Ahamn Green last year would really be that much better than Turner this year?21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. TIANo such thing as too many polls about a RB who will probably be the greatest of all time.
Green was used alot in the passing game, i dont see Turner playing much in passing situations, which Greenbay will be in alot this. You think Ahamn Green last year would really be that much better than Turner this year?21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. Come on BS - you can't seriously think that badly of Turner.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. TIANo such thing as too many polls about a RB who will probably be the greatest of all time.
On the Packers, i am thinking 1000 yards rushing 6 TD's, 100 yards receiving.Come on BS - you can't seriously think that badly of Turner.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. The Packer section is moot anyway since he'll end up with the Titans or Bills. On the Packers, i am thinking 1000 yards rushing 6 TD's, 100 yards receiving.Come on BS - you can't seriously think that badly of Turner.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. Titans- 1000 rushing yards, 7 TD's, 150 yards receiving(although this situation concerns me a bit as White may steal more carries than i expect)Bills- 1100 rushing yards, 7 TD's, 50 receiving yardsThe Packer section is moot anyway since he'll end up with the Titans or Bills. On the Packers, i am thinking 1000 yards rushing 6 TD's, 100 yards receiving.Come on BS - you can't seriously think that badly of Turner.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. good call.I'll slate him somewhere in the 2nd-tier of RB's.I'm callingto anyone that says they wouldn't take him in the top 30 RB if traded to any of these teams.
I think whichever team he ends up on, 6 is VERY low for TDs...On the Packers, i am thinking 1000 yards rushing 6 TD's, 100 yards receiving.Come on BS - you can't seriously think that badly of Turner.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. TEN would be AWFUL for Turner, he's be in a definite platoon. Which is why I also don't tihnk the Titans are in the market for a high round RB in the draft.Titans- 1000 rushing yards, 7 TD's, 150 yards receiving(although this situation concerns me a bit as White may steal more carries than i expect)Bills- 1100 rushing yards, 7 TD's, 50 receiving yardsThe Packer section is moot anyway since he'll end up with the Titans or Bills. On the Packers, i am thinking 1000 yards rushing 6 TD's, 100 yards receiving.Come on BS - you can't seriously think that badly of Turner.21-25 on each of the Titans and Bills, and 26-30 on the Packers. Please indicate how you voted. Maroney? better back, better situationPortis? i am not a huge fan of Portis, but i certainly would think he will finish bettergood call.I'll slate him somewhere in the 2nd-tier of RB's.I'm callingto anyone that says they wouldn't take him in the top 30 RB if traded to any of these teams.
1st tier:
Lt, lj, sjax, Addai, SA
2nd tier:
Rudi, Turner, westbrook, FWP, Gore.
especially if he goes to GB or Buffalo, both teams have solid o-lines and there won't be any competition from the #2 guy ( A-train or Morency).
But , Tenn. would be a good spot, too. Most of the AFC South defenses are lousy vs. the run, Indy's 'smoke-n-mirrors' playoff defense , included. for the most part, Indy's defense has been bad against the run for a while now.
I would love to see Turner in that defensively-challenged division. Houston's defense is getting better...but...
I think whichever team he goes to, be it GB, Tenn, Buff ( the front runners to acquire him), he'll probably finish with over 1290 + yards rushing..(300 carries @ a modest 4.3 per carry)...I can easily see him achieving this if he's a starter and stays healthy. these three teams are very run-oriented..
roughly 1300 yards would qualify him within the top 10, for instance, Rudi Johnson ranked 7th last season with 1309 yards rushing. not hard to see Turner doing this either.
I agree. I don't think Ten really wants Turner. I think it is more of a motivational ploy to get L. White to stop eating, get off his butt, and start living up to his potential.Buffalo and GB makes alot of since for Turner and if he does end up in one of those spots I believe 1250-1300 yards and 10-12 tds is possible. I also think he will rack up about 200-250 yards receiving w/2-4tds. He is not the greatest receiver in the world, but he is a big play guy and I can see him taking a few screen passes to the house which will increase his receiving yardage total. GB is very good at running screens too..In all I see it like this....Buffalo1250 yards10 tds20 receptions200 yards2tdsGB1350 yards12 tds25 receptions250 yards3 tdsTEN would be AWFUL for Turner, he's be in a definite platoon. You two are looking at rankings differently. Just my opinion, but I think people tend to compare players directly too much, whereas they should look more to the stats first, then compare. I will agree that the backs you listed should be considered ahead of Turner.Maroney? better back, better situationPortis? i am not a huge fan of Portis, but i certainly would think he will finish bettergood call.I'll slate him somewhere in the 2nd-tier of RB's.I'm callingto anyone that says they wouldn't take him in the top 30 RB if traded to any of these teams.

Mcgahee, Bush, Jones-Drew, Ronnie Brown, Henry?
At the VERY least, these guys have to be ahead of Turner, even for the biggest Turner fan.
Edge BensonRonny BrownMcGaheeMJDI dont agree on those .GoreMaroneyTomlinsonAlexanderPortisAddaiBushWestbrookMcGaheeEdgeBensonRudiMJDRonnie BrownWillie ParkerTravis HenryAll guys Im pretty sure I would rank above Turner, in no particular order. Right off the top of my head, may have missed one or two. But I cant see him being ranked higher then about 15 no matter what team he lands on.
Any particular reason? Im just not sold on Turner, he hasnt proven anything yet and I believe has benefited greatly from a very good offensive line and being behind Tomlinson. MJD had 16 Td's last year, IMO thats reason enough to be ahead of Turner. Edge had a rough start last year but really got it on track at towards the end. Benson is the man in Chicago where running the ball isnt just a gameplan, its a way of life. Ronny...I can see an argument being made here, but I believe he has upside and will become the back he was hyped to be. Mcgahee is the feature back in Baltimore, another run first team and he has proven he can put up numbers.Edge BensonRonny BrownMcGaheeMJDI dont agree on those .GoreMaroneyTomlinsonAlexanderPortisAddaiBushWestbrookMcGaheeEdgeBensonRudiMJDRonnie BrownWillie ParkerTravis HenryAll guys Im pretty sure I would rank above Turner, in no particular order. And anyone who voted top 10 is either full of crap or trying to build the hype.anyone who voted outside the top 20 on any of the teams is full of crap, and just sick of the hype
