10 team league. 1 point PPR. I'm in first place. Potential Trade partner is in last place

Would you trade AJ Brown straight up for McCaffrey? He would be getting Brown who is keeper eligible for next year. I would get McCaffrey who is not keeper eligible. So mostly I'm helping him for next year.

We start 2 RBs / 2 WRs / and a Flex.

RB Walker/Chase Brown/Etienne/Ekeler/Allen/Irving
WR AJ Brown/St Brown/G Wilson/DeVonta Smith/Wan'Dale Robinson/Diontae Johnson
TE LaPorta/Kraft

Obviously if McCaffrey is back 100 percent, it feels like a no brainer right? I feel like I have the Wide Receiver depth to lose AJ.

What are your keeper rules? Essentially what are missing by giving up Brown as a keeper? Is there only one keeper? Who would replace him?

My keeper rules are weird. It's a little niche league that has been going on for over 20 years now.

All of my players are keeper eligible except Rodgers, Walker, G Wilson, Devonta Smith, and Sam LaPorta.

I can keep as many of the other players as I want. No penalties.

So aside from Brown I can keep St Brown, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Dionte Johnson at wide receiver. Obviously it's a step down for next year, but it's the only way I'm going to get McCaffrey if I want him.

As I'm typing this I'm realizing my depth isn't quite as good as it was in my head. Maybe I should just go with what I have. It's worked so far.

I just wanted the context of what the keeper aspect added to the value of Brown. I think you are in fine shape WR wise and can move Brown especially since you have D. Smith. Diversifying off that is beneficial for variance.

If you don't mind the risk of CMC playing a game or two and the achilles flaring up and being done for the season then I think you go for it. I like the trade (especially with Brown being dinged with a knee right now).

I said no until I read your response to Gally. You are fine with keepers. I’d go for it. CMC is gonna win people leagues.
