I guess he dos play in Cleveland...but hey, 1000yds is pretty good with no QB and no help.

All things considered, Bryant performed very well this year. 69 catches, 1,010 yards, and 4 TDs on a team led by Dilfer and Frye is pretty solid.

The TDs are low because of the offense, but it's a solid year and leaves room for improvement.

Thing is, we don't know where he'll be because I don't think Cleveland has him locked up for next year.

He quietly helped me win my Superbowl today and he has been a solid #3 WRShhhh....don't let that get out......

63.125 yards per game + 0.25 TD per game is why you're not hearing about it. In my league that's good for 7.8 ppg which would make him a WR3.

he is indeed an unrestricted free agent in 06. i think he played well enough to get a starting spot somewhere despite his continuing issues with the dropsies.

Bryant drops the ball too much. It's as simple as that. He's been in the league for 5 years now, and it isn't getting significantly better. He put up relatively decent numbers this year, but even if he stays with the Browns he won't be their go-to guy when Edwards gets back.

AT this point in their careers, Brant is a better player than Moulds. The only real question is his attitude, as he has had problems wherever he has gone. He runs great routes, and has solid hands. If his head is on straight, he can be a #1 receiver in the NFL.

I hope the Eagles go after him.  He can be productive.
Eagles need a #1 - Bryant is borderline at being a #1.Word is the Eagles will target Eric Moulds.
Another WR with an attitude problem?
Moulds doesn't have an attitude problem. Bryant has a history of huge attitude problems, however.
Moulds was suspended for a game this year because of a bad attitude
Some may call it a bad attitude, others call it leadership. Moulds had a bad attitude because he was pissed seeing Lossman in there instead of Holcomb, a qb that could actually help his team win. Turns out Moulds was right and the Bills turned there season around for a few weeks.

Moulds is good every other year, so I'd expect big things next year.Year, catches, yards, TDs

1998 67 1368 9

1999 65 994 7

2000 94 1326 5

2001 67 904 5

2002 100 1292 10

2003 64 780 1

2004 88 1043 5

2005 73 720 3

I guess I'm in the bad-attitude-isn't-leadership camp.

Well he could have sat back and watched his team lose and not say anything, or he could say what everyone on the team was thinking and get benched for a week causing the team to swithc QB's and start a winning streak. I take the guy that wants to win now rather than the guy that wants to find out if they have a future QB.

He put up relatively decent numbers this year, but even if he stays with the Browns he won't be their go-to guy when Edwards gets back.
Actually, this was only his fourth year.(dynasty leaguer checking in)

 Did he have problems with his attitude in Cleveland this year? Yes, he had problems in Dalllas, but I don't remember any problems this year.

Not at all... he had problems in Dallas because he wanted to get on the field and show what he could do. Parcells had those spots reserved for "his" guys.He got the opportunity starting at the end of last year in Cleveland, and he's been a model citizen since. At least from everything I've seen.

He won't be too happy once he becomes a #2 WR to Braylon Edwards

Good catch, I was looking at his separate stat lines from the year he was traded away because he dropped too many balls for another guy who dropped too many balls. So yeah, he's only been dropping too many balls for four straight years now.

First, Edwards is a WR coming off ACL surgery. I'm not expecting that much from him next year. But more importantly, Bryant may not be in Cleveland next year. Now that he's succeeded on a poor offense with poor QB play, I'd like to see what he can do on a good offense.

According to Drinen's target stats, his Rec % is 54.1%. Not great, but not horrible either. It would be interesting to see the numbers for the last 3 years as well, and find out if he's trending up or down in that category.Edit: keep in mind that the Rec % stat excludes not just drops, but all targets which were not caught. So considering who's been throwing him the ball, the number is arguably better than many receivers with similar rec percentages in better QB situations.

I'm talking specifically about DROPS, which essentially means passes that hit your hands without significant coverage that you don't catch. It always cracks me up when people blame the QB when talking about DROPS. By definition, a drop is when the QB does his job and the receiver doesn't.Bryant had 7 this year, 8 last year, and 10 in 2003 - all on relatively limited numbers of targets.
