Bucs coach Raheem Morris says the team will continue to monitor Antonio Bryant's surgically repaired knee on a weekly basis."He's going to tough it out until it gets better," explained Morris. We're concerned that this could be a nagging injury, and Bryant was outplayed by a surprisingly impressive Michael Clayton on Sunday. On a positive note, Bryant was able to get open behind the Cowboys secondary on a several occasions before shutting it down for the day.

So will Clayton be the guy or was that just for this week?

I was watching the Red Zone Channel on Sunday, and caught a pretty good amount of the game. He was fine for the first quarter or so, then started to slide. By the third quarter, he was galloping out there. I don't think he'll be effective for a while.

does this make any sense to anyone else?

Yes. Antonio Bryant looked like nothing was wrong during the first quarter, but then started showing progressively more effects of his injury throughout the game. by the third quarter, his stride was uneven (i.e. galloping) rather than smooth, which suggested that he was favoring one leg over the other. The OP believes it will take a while before Bryant is able to compete at a high NFL-caliber level.Fire up the Michael Clayton Bandwagon. Choo choo!

All aboard the Kellen Winslow express!
:goodposting: He's going to be a top-5 TE this year. Also, I think Clayton looked better than he has in years. It'd be kinda cool if Clayton and Caddy both had big years this year. A couple years late, but better late than never.

Bryant will have a great 2nd half.. expect a slow start. In the time he was playing vs Dallas, he did get 7 targets. He is the best reciever on the team when 100%.
