Antonio Gates (1 Viewer)

I was wondering what the thoughts were on Gates for the rest of the season, since he finally appears to be healthy. Will his targets increase, or will it still be spread around with V. Jackson and LT? I just traded DeSean Jackson for him, but now I am questioning my own move.

With Witten ailing and the problems in Dallas, I'd say Gates is the definite TE1 going forward, which I'd say makes him elite (although I don't think he ever dropped from the elite category). I think that's a solid trade for you assuming you have solid WR depth. It'd be nice to see Gates start getting more targets, though. The most he's had in a game so far is 7, and with that few targets, we're not going to see those monster weeks from him that we became accustomed to in the past.

I think he'll probably stay around the same when you figure LT should be healthier and warrant more touches, while Chambers should be returning. He's still elite, but the team now has two bona fide WRs versus practically nothing in the past.

That toe has been bothering him since the end of last season. I'm skeptical that he will really be all that healthy at any point this year.

If he continues to produce as he has been this season he is the #1 TE. I have Witten in one league and Gates in the other. Gates has been more of a factor and until Romo comes back Witten is not the same. He is not returning to studliness, he is just returning from a bye week...already a confirmed stud in my opinion.

I,d say Owen Daniels will be the # 1 TE going forward. Rosenfels targeted him 8-9 times in the 2nd half last Sunday and the texans face some tough defenses the 2nd half of the season which will cause Rosenfels to get rid of the ball quickly which will work in daniels favor.

Antonio Gates looked good against the Saints. If he's truly past the toe and hip injury then I think it'll be business as usual with Gates as a top fantasy tight end.

Daniels is an interesting pick but it's definitely possible that he outscores Gates going forward. He definitely deserves to be in the discussion at this point.

One thing is for sure, rosenfels was locked onto him last week for whatever reason.
