Pardon my ignorance, but who is Neal? I too wondered what happened last night. Antonio only had 3 tackles in the whole game. I just dropped Vilma for Pierce this last week and Vilma went and had his best week of the season.I think you can sum it up with one word - Neal.
Lorenzo Neal. He is the FB and from what I saw he wasn't giving anyone a chance to get LT. The line was doing a great job and with whatever person was left was taken care of by Neal.On a side note why would you drop Vilma for Pierce? You weren't happy with the 7 solos he was getting the first two games or something? I would imagine you were a bit impatient and saw someone with a bit better scoring number than the guy you had so made a bad move. Pardon my ignorance if that is wrong.Pardon my ignorance, but who is Neal? I too wondered what happened last night. Antonio only had 3 tackles in the whole game. You mean this thread?I don't see any posts in that thread at all. Don't blame others for your mistake, I am sure noboby in this forum forced you to make that decision. You wanted to make a change because you weren't satisfied with the numbers Vilma put up in the first two weeks. If those are available in your league you either only start 1LB or are in a 8 team league.Yes, based on advice from this forum, I replaced Vilma with Pierce.
Maybe I'm off base here but I usually drop the worst player on my squad to pick someone else up. Vilma was the WORST player on your team? if that's the case, I'm sure you'll be okay for the rest of the year.Yes, based on advice from this forum, I replaced Vilma with Pierce.
Well, yes. My other two starting IDP's are Zach Thomas and Terence McGee (we get points for returns) so Vilma was (and still would be) a distant third.Maybe I'm off base here but I usually drop the worst player on my squad to pick someone else up. Yes, that thread. At the time that I had to make my decision last week the vote was 5-3 in favor of Pierce. And, I'm not blaming anybody. You're the one that implied that I had no logical or legitimate reason for replacing Vilma. This is my first year in a FFBL so I came here, did some research and asked some questions. And then, based on what I had heard as well as my own gut feeling, I made the switch. Sometimes, your gut lets you down. It's nobody's fault. And, it's only one week against what is shaping up to be one of the best offenses in the league. I still think that both Pierce and Vilma will have great years. The only reason I even brought it up was to say "doesn't that figure", not because I was angry or looking to blame someone. You mean this thread?I don't see any posts in that thread at all. Well, I suppose if he were easy to tackle he wouldn't be the best player in football. Hopefully Pierce will have a better outing this week against St. Louis.Having watched the game and suffered through a poor performance, Pierce was getting consistently outrun to the outside by LT. It seemed like every play LT was breaking figertip tackles by a diving Pierce as he scooted by.
It's odd because Pierce was a former WLB who was good in coverage and space, but LT kept burning him. I don't remember too many times when Neal got into Pierce directly.
