Q: With the difficulty the running game is having, especially in short yardage situations, at what point do you think Isaac Redman would be brought up from the practice squad?

Michael Pearsall, Albany, N.Y.

BOUCHETTE: If what we saw Thursday night is any indication, I believe the Steelers will look for help anywhere they can get it. I would not expect them to sign Redman from the practice squad next week, but if this continues they would have to at least give him a try. However, unless the offensive line blocks for the run better than it did against the Titans, I don't know if Jim Brown could help.

for some weird reason i thoguht taking Parker (16$) and Mendy ($10) and handcuffifng the Steelers RB for $26 was a good idea in the subscriber contest...

then again they were playing the Titans

Anyone seriously seeing a return to vintage Cowher running production from the Steelers are going to be disappointed, but expecting 15 repeats of the Titan game is equally unlikely. The Steelers didn't finish 23rd in rushing last year, but close to half of their games are against teams they should be able to build a lead on and go to the run in the second half. They aren't going to win your league or the contest, but they won't be the near zero they were tonight either.
