I own W. Dunn, and also J. Norwood. An owner in my league just offered me J. Horn for J. Norwood. I know Norwood has shown some burst, but enough to give up J. Horn for? Seemed fishy to me, so I was curious if Dunn was knicked up or something that I don't know about.

don't do the deal. joe horn is the 4th option in that offense. it's a reasonable offer in a redraft, but norwood has a ton more upside.

I think you're overlooking the possibility that Joe Horn is merely an average WR at this point. The other owner is trying to sell high, with Horn coming off a great game. Keep Norwood.

I would never consider Horn over Norwood in a dynasty league, and to tell the truth, I don't like Horn in a redraft league anymore either. If you aren't suffering too bad at WR, I wouldn't do that deal, even in a redraft league. Norwood is probably worth more to you as a handcuff to Dunn than having Horn.

Oh, I wasn't considering it, even with the league being a redraft. I like the safety blanket of having Norwood should Dunn go down. I was just concerned. Seemed like an odd offer, and the owner in question is usually pretty savvy and knowledgeable. Wanted to make sure he wasn't on to something I knew nothing about.

only thing i could think is the talk about getting norwood more involved, i've seen a few posts and a few headlines about that (haven't actually seen it happen though).... also if you needed help at WR maybe he figured he could sneak him off of you and grab the upside that norwood provides.

I heard the sports talk nerds talking about Norwood saying that they like his strength and speed shown during the games but that he's usually coming in late in the game with fresh legs against a defense tiring of chasing Dunn and Vick.

Norwood in a dynasty league has a lot of upside because of his raw skills but there's a lot of thought that he still can't pick up the blocking assignments as well as Dunn which makes sense. The Atlanta running game is hard on the runners because of the turf (although it's state-of-the-art) and I think the coaches prefer to have two guys sharing the load to reduce the strain.
