Any major weather concerns for Championship week... (1 Viewer)

Yeah I was rolling with Cam but given call for 1-2 inches of rain I'm now rethinking rolling with Kaepernick.

How about the weather in Wash. I know it will be warm, but they are calling for rain and wind. Any homers chime in??

Was going Cam and have Cutler...that weather in Charlotte is interesting...we had that line of storms come through here last night and the wind right before it was nasty.

Im sure its not quite the same...but there was a lot of wind, and a ton of rain (well, we also got Severe Thunderstorms and Tornado warnings out of it...but it does not look as bad now)

Just worries me to ever start Cutler.

Calling for heavy rain in Charlotte starting at noon/1:00 ish.
Local news had that system arriving later than expected. Not supposed to make a big impact on the game. If it arrives it will be late 2nd half and the rain will not be heavy unless something changes in the forecast.

Kickoff: 12/22/2013 01:00 PM EST Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4pm, then showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Patchy fog before 11am. High near 73. South southwest wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Do interceptions count against you that much, if that's what worries you? He will put up big numbers

Ints are -1...trusting Jay Cutler is what worries me.

He should put up big numbers yes.

He is in my lineup right now...I think his upside may be higher than Cam's today.

Dumb question, but I assume the rankings include weather analysis?

i.e., Edelman would be ranked higher if not for the prediction of bad weather?

Well maybe not so much the wind but the heavy rain could be a sloppy game. I know he did ok in the Snow bowl but for me personally I could sub in Cousins and alleviate this potential headache.

Showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 57. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Sunday's Cowboys-Redskins game at FedEx Field is expected to be played in the rain.Temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s with winds whipping around at 14-17 MPH, per Weather.com. There's a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms in mid-afternoon. NFL Network's Kimberly Jones, who is on scene in Landover, reports it's currently raining and is expected to rain ever harder at game time.
Bench Cousins for FItzpatrick?

I think so. I think I'm benching Romo for Dalton due to the weather. Both are going against bad D's, but Dalton is indoors

True. I'm swinging for the fences. Most of us are playing another good team in the finals.

So much for a big week for Cousins, I am benching Romo for Fitzpatrick

I wonder how many people benched McCoy because of the foot of snow a few weeks ago?

Do not over think the weather.

Any KC homers here? Nflweather.com shows overcast in KC. Have Vinatieri going and thinking of changing him if things are supposed to get nasty. Originally heard snow was forecasted.

How many people didn't bench Stafford because of the foot of snow a few weeks ago, weather is important.
Stafford sucks when there isn't a foot of snow, Horrible comparison, I can show you last weeks game in a dome if you like?

It is beyond foolish and almost makes anyone who considers weather a factor look like a brand new fantasy footballer.

See Bradys 6 TDs in '09 against Tennessee in a blizzard.

Glad you didnt over think it.

Weather.com projects no rain in the Charlotte forecast for Sunday's Saints-Panthers game.
There is a 100 percent chance of rain in Charlotte today, but it's not expected to start until 4PM ET at the earliest, and the Saints and Panthers play at 1PM ET. Weather shouldn't be much of a factor in the game. The temperature will be in the 70s. Winds are expected at 16-17 MPH.

after hearing how nice and sunny the Dalss @ Wash game was going to be... we get this

I'm over here debating Big Ben in -1f and snow OR Jay Cutler in heavy Rain. Cutler in the rain seems like the perfect scenario for multiple picks. Currently rolling with Cutler for upside, but tempted to switch him out for Ben.

Not worried about the WAS weather no wind in MD right now. how about Carolina? Got a report from my dad who lives in Charlotte and he said it was windy yesterday, but warm and raining lightly right now.

Do not over think the weather.
I recall a few years ago when Tom Brady was facing a snow storm vs the #1 Pass Def (Tenn).... he responded with 350 yards & 6 TD!

On my bench..... don't over think things....

A few people wrote the same thing ahead of the Lions/Eagles game regarding Stafford. Every situation is different.

. I'm about 15 miles from the stadium right now. Very overcast with a slight wind. There's a nasty looking storm on the way though.
