Any news on Bob Sanders playing today for the Colts? (1 Viewer)

Heard he may be playing today, but haven't heard anything in the past 36 hours.

Any Indy homers have any intel here?

He practiced fully on Friday. He also was not listed as one of the Colts inactives today. It sounds like he is playing.

Apparently he really doesn'tLink

During his four-plus seasons, the Colts are 39-12 with him in the lineup, a .765 winning percentage. (That includes playoff games.)

They are 25-8 without him in the lineup, a .758 winning percentage.

And if the Colts beat Cincinnati without him this weekend, and most of us expect that will happen, they will move to 26-8, and would have an absolutely identical winning percentage with and without.

This year, the Colts are 3-1 with Sanders and 5-3 without Sanders. More telling, the Colts have allowed an average of 321 yards per game on defense with Sanders in the lineup; they've allowed 322 without Sanders.

Good posting, but with Brackett out I think he'll help tremendously.

Any idea what turnovers and scoring look like and the breakdown of rushing vs passing when he plays and when he doesn't. I believe that Sanders has made a big difference in past years but with 10 other guys on the field who are all in various degrees of health, it's too hard to isolate the impact of just one guy.

Not to mention varying performances by the offense that put the defense on the field more some weeks than others. Sanders is obviously a difference-maker. The 4th and short stop he had on MJD in the first game last year was one that very few other DBs in the league could have made.
