Any thought on Byron Leftwich from here on out? (1 Viewer)

As a follow up, I just looked at the Jags schedule. To me, it sure seems like Leftwich has a shot to light it up after the bye. Houston twice. Miami, Tennessee.

With Matt Jones coming back, Marcedes Lewis getting healthy, the schedule getting easier and the defense suffering numerous injuries, I only expect Leftwich's numbers to improve.

FWIW, he's a top 10 QB in my league right now. Currently #6

1. McNabb

2. P. Manning

3. Grossman

4. Bulger

5. E. Manning

6. Leftwich

7. Favre

8. Brady

9. Kitna

10. Frye

I like B.Leftwich going forward as well, but I see it depend a lot with M.Jones return (and how well he performs when he does).

As long as Jacksonville isnt blowing teams out on a weekly basis (and with the losses they are suffering on D, that prospect is getting dim after a thrashing of the Jets this week), Leftwich will put up good numbers. I am really excited about Leftwich in dynasty leagues, where he really has a chance to shine with 4 good young pass catchers that are at least 6'4". Combine that with Leftwich's height and ability to see the whole field and his rocket arm and willingness to take huge hits to deliver the ball, and it gets really unfair for opposing defenses.

The only thing that will hold Leftwich back is JDR.

Don't forget that M. Jones-Drew can take a screen pass to the house at any time as well.

Leftwich has a ton of options once Matt Jones is back. I think he's definetly going to have a nice season.

As a Leftwich owner for the past couple years... I cringe every time I see these hits.

Obviously i mean deliver, not develop, brain fart...He does seem to get hurt more than a sturdy QB should. I will say I've seen him take some devastating hits, hits that Im sure knocked him out of the game, if not the following week, only to see him back in the next series.
