Any thoughts on Bradshaw's workload today? (1 Viewer)

I'm guessing 7-9 touches which makes him not worthy of a start. Has anybody heard otherwise?

NFL Network reporter at the stadium indicated this morning that sources within the organization believe Bradshaw will see around 10 carries today. I'm having trouble with this one too. Thinking of playing Fred Jackson over Bradshaw because of the uncertainty.

wow, if this is true bad news for us Bradshaw owners. no worries. Jacobs also likes to fumble

I'm not leaving his wing just yet...not at home vs. the Jags.

I have a feeling he comes out and runs mean and has a good game now...just what Coughlin wants by pulling this stunt.

Was going to roll with Bradshaw but considering Keiland Williams over him now after the 10 carries news..

For those with Bradshaw and Jacobs, are people rolling with Jacobs today? Seems like in PPR it might be close, but in non-PPR, Jacobs sounds like the play? 7-10 carries isn't much.

Where is this 7-10 touches coming from? With all the injuries you would think Bradshaw would be a workhorse running and catching? Can't bench him just yet... Fred Jackson stays on the bench this week.

Wow if this is the case i'm rolling with donald brown.

Have Jacobs and Bradshaw both starting (one as a flex), with Goodsen and Stewart on the bench. Figure this could be the type of game where the Giants put up 30 carries, try to control the clock with the WR's hurting. If I could only start one, I'd probably roll with Jacobs as he seems like a much better bet for a TD (though starting both of them, I'm hoping for 150 combined yards and 2 TD's).

NFL network reported it.

I am leaving him in. 7-9 touches, just doesnt make sense. They want to win first, teach a lesson 2nd. My option is Wells and Mike Thomas and Santana Moss, I am sticking with Bradshaw, he has something to prove

This situation is very murky. I could build a convincing argument to start or bench Bradshaw--to keep it simple: it's a good match-up where they're likely to try to lean on the running game (with all the WRs out), BUT they've said Jacobs will start and Ware will see some touches.

I think there's a very real chance that Bradshaw still sees a bunch of touches. On the other hand, I also think there's a very real chance that Jacobs and Ware are effective against a mediocre run D and Bradshaw plays sparingly to send him a message about the fumbling.

I guess for me, I'm benching Bradshaw if I have someone else that's likely to see the majority of the touches (Forte, Brown, etc.). I'll roll the dice with Bradshaw over most other RBs in a committee because he has been so effective and is likely to be motivated when he does touch the ball.

I think it's impossible to know how many carries someone will get without knowing what the D is going to give you, and how the game will flow. Bradshaw and Jacobs have totally different styles, and Bradshaw is more versatile. As long as Bradshaw doesn't fumble, I think he will get enough carries and receptions to be fantasy relevant.

Michael Lombardi on NFL.com ... watch the report from the stadium from early in the show

I am doing the same. Starting Jacobs, Bradshaw, and F.Jackson at RB thus benching Mike Thomas this week.

I am leaving him in over Keiland. He is their #1 back and Coughlin is just sending a message. I have not seen anything about 10 touches online. Why would anyone come out and say that?

He wont start, but i bet he gets the same amount of touches as he has been getting. With the Giants top 2 WR's out, Bradshaw is easily their best offensive weapon in a must win game. The only way i can see Bradshaw not getting the majority of the carries is if Jacobs plays well at the start of the game. I just dont see that happening.

I'm starting him with confidence. LT Shawn Andrews is out now. Bradshaw being the more versatile back should see more success running than Jacobs.

I'm worried about Ware getting Bradshaws touches at least for this game. This should be the game that teaches him a lesson

Still, I'm having a tough time putting wells in for him.

Benched him in two leagues I have him in, started Hillis and S. Jackson over him, not too tough.

In the other league, started Calvin, Mike Williams TB, Knowshown and M. Turner over him. This is the first week besides his bye in both leagues though that he's been on the bench for me, wasn't an easy decision. I also have Hakeem Nicks in both of those leagues and I've gone from rooting for the Giants to score like crazy to who cares.

I'm watching the game though because I want to see for myself how both backs look as the playoffs don't start for a couple weeks anyway.

My gut tells me both Rb's will look good in their roles because Jax is not that good agains the run. I'm rooting for them to stuff the hell out of Jacobs early on.

Jacobs first carry up the middle for 11 yards. 2nd carry off left tackle for about 2.5

Bradshaw in on the 4th play of game, play action to him to Manningham for 15 plus yards.

Jacobs back in on next play, Jacobs up the middle for about 15 yards.
Bradshaw comes in, he goes in motion and gets a pass to the left and goes for about 11 yards. He goes out, Jacobs in at the 10 yard line. Pass over the middle to Hagan, Hagan catches at the 3 and is hit and fumbles, Jax ball at about their 15.

Challenged and ruled incomplete, kind of surprised. On 2nd and 10, Jacobs up the middle for 8 yards to the 4 yardline.3rd and 2, Bradshaw in.Handoff Bradshaw and stuffed, loss of 2 yards making it 4th and 4.23 yard field goal for Tynes.Going to game thread now but wanted to post the initial drive to give an idea of how it started for those that couldn't see it.

FYI,

Jacobs is starting the 2nd half as the starter as well. A couple 2 yard runs.

But they are down 17-6 so it's not like Coach C is pulling Jacobs since they're down.

Bradshaw with a hard run down to the 10 yard line though. Bradshaw in again, he goes right for a screen but Eli goes over the middle and passes incomplete, nobody around.

Jacobs back in on 2nd down and goal, gets the handoff and -1 and the crowd is booing.

3rd down and goal from the 10, Bradshaw in, Manning overthrows Boss, crowd booing louder.

What do you guys expect the split to be going forward? Seems like a nightmare RBBC and I am wondering if dropping one (Jacobs) for someone like Dixon is the way to go.

I wouldnt expect to much difference going forward, unless Jacobs fumbles his carries away, seems like you would be dropping a proven player for an unproven player in a RBBC.
