He's missed three practices in a row, but is still listed as probable. Any word beyond that from Homers and whats the prediction for this week with the injury in mind?
Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson (shoulder) returned to the early portion of the Bengals’ Friday morning practice. He came into the day listed as probable even though he didn’t work Wednesday and Thursday, and head coach Marvin Lewis said he's ready to play.
Wide receiver Chad Johnson missed his third straight day of practice on Friday. ESPN's John Clayton reported on Friday that the shoulder injury kept him off the practice field yet again, but that he should play on Sunday. He is listed as probable on this week's injury report.
Our View
Having Johnson on the field is important for the Bengals because their depth in the receiving corps is hurt with the absence of Chris Henry and Kelley Washington. Johnson is a gamer and should be good to go, but do not expect his production to shoot upwards this week.
