Washington running back Clinton Portis was sidelined by an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the Redskins' loss to Buffalo on Sunday. He ran for 50 yards and a score prior to getting hurt.
Commentary: The severity of the injury is unknown, but the Redskins have the handicap of a short week: They play Chicago on Thursday. Ladell Betts would start in place of Portis.
That's what I thought. I don't remember seeing him leave the game for any extended amount of time.He played until the end of the game.http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/20460.html

IIRC, he limped off the field at some point, but he came back in later in the game. That's what I thought. I don't remember seeing him leave the game for any extended amount of time.He played until the end of the game.http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/20460.html

I have no idea what that means.saw mention of it last night on some show, not sure if it was Fox recap or something, then googled this am, this is only story that came up but was first one.
Portis got the ball on 7 of their last 9 plays (not counting a punt).PranksterJD said:Not sure what the issue is here. Portis limped off at one point, but was in the game for the second to last play. He caught a short screen ( on a play that should have been nothing but a hail Mary ) with less than 5 seconds left.
Doesn't matter if it was 7 of 9, 15 of 18 or 1 of 2.It just takes one play and if that play was right at the end of the game, then I could see why there's speculation as to what the rumors are. It's possible that he was hurt, went back in and then after the game once you're not warmed up things could have swollen or tightened up.We'll have to wait here later today or tomorrow in finding out what the deal is.Portis got the ball on 7 of their last 9 plays (not counting a punt).PranksterJD said:Not sure what the issue is here.
