He still have 7 targets and in the game plan ... give him time.Lockett for me. Reminds me of the percy Harvin disaster.
I will. I remember giving Percy time too.He still have 7 targets and in the game plan ... give him time.
You were disappointed in D. Murray? I know he didn't have a ton of carries, but he was pretty involved and had receiving 2 TD's against a pretty good Minn defense. What were you looking for?Maybe we should change the title to who is James targeting in trades this week. I will gladly take Dez, Marshall, Peterson, or Thomas(if not injured to bad) at a discount.
Guys that I am in wait one more week mode on, but have some concerns that what we saw is the new normal.
Barnridge
John Brown
Duke Johnson
Gio
D. Walker
D. Murray
Disagree on Murray. He played well against a very good D. Henry had a nice 29 yard reception but 5 carries for 3 yards doesn't make me think he'll be replaced this year. I've got Henry in 1 of 2 leagues I have Murray, but I don't expect Henry to outscore Murray any time soon. I think Murray was a great value and could be a steal this year. Minny is a great D and according to FBGs preseason SOS that was the best run D he'll face until week 15. With 7 targets, I'll take those results. It's a shame about Duke Jonson. It seems like it is going to be Lamar Miller Circa Miami 2.0
Complete misuse of talent on a crappy team going no where.
Gio is not the lead dog. Hill is the man. And it seems like he is going to have a big year. He looked strong despite the low numbers vs a top defense. Ran hard, with confidence/decisiveness and to me is a clear lead back with a huge upside in his numbers vs last season. He looked like the guy I saw in 2014.
Delanie Walker will be fine.
Demarco is a caretaker for the eventual hand off to Derrick Henry. That will come sooner than later.
Barnridge is a cut already IMO plenty of other waiver wire options.
John Brown is far too early to tell. But one thing is for certain.....Fitz is numero uno again people. Guy is a true Pro's Pro.
The key to this is that he was getting open and Tannehill was connecting with him, even on deep routes against a good team. I think he and Tanny have developed some chemistry. If you were a believer in Stills before week 1, I think you should be a bit encouraged despite the drops. Not that he's a starter but I had hopes for Kenny Stills. But only 1 catch on 5 targets and two drops is not a stat line you want to see.
I just think you will see a good split in carries between both of them. Henry is a beast. An absolute beast. I think Murray will fade. But of course I could be way off on this. 5 carries is not nearly enough to say anything against arguably the best defense in the league. And Henry is a guy who wears people down over the course of a game. He is an absolute load. I think they will carve out a role for him in the next 2 weeks and may the best RB win.Disagree on Murray. Since Hill became "the man" excluding yesterday Gio averaged 73 yards from scrimmage a game and 12 touches. 7 touches and 30 yards would be a sea change. Hopefully it is just game flow. It's a shame about Duke Jonson. It seems like it is going to be Lamar Miller Circa Miami 2.0

The end result was fine, no one is going to complain about 2 tds, but I don't think that is going to be the norm. Exotic smash mouth went out the window pretty quick and they ended up with 41 pass attempts. I would sell high if I could. You were disappointed in D. Murray? 2016 is a new year.Since Hill became "the man" excluding yesterday Gio averaged 73 yards from scrimmage a game and 18 touches. 7 touches and 30 yards would be a sea change.
Yea, but those 41 pass attempts results in 7 targets, 5 receptions and 2 TDs for Murray. If they go run heavy, you can expect a nice split between Murray and Henry. If they get behind and have to pass, I would expect Murray to see more receptions. All in all, it's hard to be too disappointed in his week 1 performance against one of the tougher D's they'll face all year. The end result was fine, no one is going to complain about 2 tds, but I don't think that is going to be the norm. 2016 is a new year.
You will sorely disappointed if you are banking on last years numbers in your assessment of Hill/Gio. Looks like the 2014 Jeremy Hill and that means a big season is in store. Which then means Gio won't get that work you're banking on.
The last 6 games of 2014, when Hll was running like a beast, Gio averaged 13 touches and 67 yards a game. throw in 4 -6 TDs and i would be happy with that as an RB3.2016 is a new year.

I understand the concern from lack of production yesterday. The two drops were bad. Both would have been converted third down opportunities. However, the comparison to Harvin is way way way off base. Harvin was a complete head case. Lockett from all accounts I've read is loved and respected by team mates. Very different characters.Lockett for me. Reminds me of the percy Harvin disaster.
Anyone you worried about after a bad first week?
That's great......so plenty to go around then. Both should flourish as this offense looks like a Super Bowl caliber one.The last 6 games of 2014, when Hll was running like a beast, Gio averaged 13 touches and 67 yards a game
5 carries isn't enough, but Murray was a lot better running the ball against the same D. I think he got overlooked and I think Henry is overvalued. He'll get touches and will do something against worse Ds and a lot may be playing against tired Ds.I just think you will see a good split in carries between both of them. Henry is a beast. An absolute beast. I think Murray will fade. But of course I could be way off on this. 5 carries is not nearly enough to say anything against arguably the best defense in the league. Time will tell.
During the preseason they had a bunch of nice connections and Dez was a "bobble" away from adding a touchdown catch to his numbers this week. Obviously I would feel better had he had a big game but bad games happen sometimes. I think people panic a little too much after one week.I'm very worried about Dez Bryant. Dak appears to be a game managing dink-and-dunk QB. I'll be trying to trade Dez. Luckily I'm not heavily invested in him. Obviously Dak could improve and Romo will return at some point but I'm selling ASAP.
I don't care what kind of dude he is. Those numbers are awfulI understand the concern from lack of production yesterday. The two drops were bad. Exactly. See my other post. Based on FBGs preseason SOS this was the 2nd hardest game he'll face all year. It may not end up that way, but that wasn't the Colts D he faced. If the pass, he'll get receptions. If they run more he'll get a lot of carries. I was excited, far from disappointed.Yea, but those 41 pass attempts results in 7 targets, 5 receptions and 2 TDs for Murray. In that case you probably don't need to worry. He should have a great overall season.I don't care what kind of dude he is. Those numbers are awful
Sounds like RG3 may be about to miss significant time. But the fact is Barnidge dropped both passes that were thrown his way, so not all RG3.Barnidge seems to be a waste of roster space, unless McCown takes over.
For IDP, what the heck happened to D'Qwell Jackson, was he even on the field? Kurt Coleman, worthless. I trusted the FBG rankings for IDP since I don't follow that side as closely, but I'm highly disappointed with those picks. Doubt I'll ride them out for long.
Agreed. In the pre-season they looked very in sync and had very good rapport. I think Dez will be fine. He is the least of my concern on my squad (A.J and Dez at 1.12 /2.01).During the preseason they had a bunch of nice connections and Dez was a "bobble" away from adding a touchdown catch to his numbers this week. Obviously I would feel better had he had a big game but bad games happen sometimes. I think people panic a little too much after one week.
Not only was Harvin a headcase, he also had a major hip injury. As a Locket owner I was disappointed like everyone else by the stat line.I understand the concern from lack of production yesterday. The two drops were bad. Both would have been converted third down opportunities. However, the comparison to Harvin is way way way off base. Harvin was a complete head case. A pretty good rule of thumb I learned many years ago is to sit on your team until week 3 is over. Yeah, I suppose there are times where you might mess up by not getting rid of a player early, but the whole game is all playing the odds anyway. So people draft guys that they think are going to have big seasons and then consider dropping or trading them away after one week?
If Dez, D. Thomas, B. Marshall etc. had a bad game in the middle of the season would you bail on them?
He still had his fair share of targets in the RZ that he couldn't pull in. Fair points regarding Enunwa but I'm not worried...yet.Brandon Marshall a bit.
Not so much the age and the usual big drop or two, but last year the Jets really had no third receiving option and helped Marshall and Decker put up big numbers. Remains to be seen whether Enunwa is a flash in the pan, but he did look good yesterday and may be just good enough to draw away some targets from Marshall/Decker.

The bottom line is we've spent hours in the off-season analyzing these guys, and we've also seen many of them play in previous seasons for many years. To throw all that research away after one week is rarely a good move.
