Anyone benching Boldin against Bears today? (1 Viewer)

Fitz is out. He'll get double coverage by the best D in the league. His QB is a rookie. Is he still an automatic start?

I'm seriously considering benching him for S.Moss, Moose, and Evans because they all have great matchups (Titans, Cards, Lions)

When do Sharks consider benching super studs if they have other VERY good WRs with great matchups??? Or do most live by the "never bench your studs" motto?

I am benching him in favor of Chambers...imo, Chambers is due for a big game, and Boldin is looking bad for all of the reasons you stated. Also, Boldin spouted off this week about how the Bears D can be scored on, how they are not that good...I have a feeling that Chicago is going to be pumped for this since it is Monday Night and all...it just does not look good.

okay, they play Sunday. That changes my question how?
They play Monday..I started him, Bears have overall good def. but can be had in their secondary. If it was not a Monday night game I might have benched him for Colsten (sp)JMHO...

I disagree...I think Arizona is going to win this game. Just a hunch!

Benching Boldin and inserting A.Bryant as my 3rd WR.

Yes, I know that Bryant goes against a tough SD defense, but I figured he's got a better shot of having a better game than Boldin vs CHI.

I have Hines Ward as an alternative as well as Bryant Johnson but I am going with Boldin, Antonio Bryant, and Isaac Bruce.

Definitely keeping Boldin in my lineup. ARI may have to abandon the run early and air it out - 2+ quarters of garbage points, baby!

In both my money leagues I'm going with Boldin with the only alternative being Deion Branch in both leagues. I did go back and forth between the two.

I have him on all my teams, I could bench him for Moose. I dont think double teaming will effect him because he's not just running straight down the field. He runs good routes he'll get open and he'll catch a lot of passes...especially in ppr leagues.

STU - PID.

The Bears give up yards, but not many td's. Peanut Tillman can be had. I go to the Bears games and see it firsthand. DO NOT bench Boldin.

I'm starting Terry Glenn over Bouldin to start alongside my #1, Andre Johnson. Its a very tough clal for me, as I think Bouldin will have a decent day, but he seems a much riskier choice and I have a matchup that I should win if I just don't blow it.

Something you guys are all missing here: The Bears give up decent fantasy points to #1 WRs. Driver, Lee Evans, etc.

However, they do pretty much shut down anyone else (#2's, TEs) IIRC.

Just because plays happen on Tillman's side of the field does NOT mean that he can be had. There are many times when the safety blows his coverage in getting back to assist on the play. The thing that I don't understand is this. Most teams have their best WR on the right side, as the QB is right handed (not the case with Leinart btw) - so if the Bears coaches felt that Tillman was inferior to Vasher - then why don't they put Vasher on that side of the field?

I'm playing Boldin - it is hard to imagine better choices on most redraft teams.

I played Mason at my WR3 over BJohn, however - already regretting that choice.

I'm playing Boldin too. They will force feed him the ball. Plus I think the quick-footed T. walters in the slot will play more of a role, especially due to the defensive pressure. Remember earlier in the season (week 1 I think) - Driver had a big game against CHI (he usually does) as the main WR on the Packers. I think Boldin will do pretty well.I would not be surprised to see 7-8 recs for 80-90 yds.

I start boldin unless he is on a bye, period. Now, i didnt have a ton of options this week(byes and injuries) but he'd be in there regardless. The guy is a STUD

Or 12 for 136 and a TD. :excited:
