is it even raining? So it's dry now...what about the 2nd quarter when the damp filed turns to mud? Remember last year? Combined with winds. Skeptical this game has 300 combined passing yards.
Didn't it rain last year? From Rotoworld...According to weather.com, the forecast for Sunday's Chargers-Saints game at Wembley Stadium projects temperatures in the low 50s and only a 20 percent chance of rain. The sky will be partly cloudy with winds from 8MPH, which won't greatly affect passing. The pitch is still a concern and the game threatens to be more low scoring than a normal battle of such potent offenses, but there's no reason to consider benching your best fantasy players in this game.So it's dry now...what about the 2nd quarter when the damp filed turns to mud? Remember last year? Combined with winds. Skeptical this game has 300 combined passing yards.
NFL network Phil Simms reports damp field, messy conditions are expected. There will be scattered showers, and the filed will be torn up. Wembley stadium is in a wind zone; huge gusts. Prognosis negative for the passing game.
Placing Colston on the bench in favor of Holt (due to Jax being inactive)Colston owner - was curious about the weather and field conditions also, hopefully we hear something soon.
Because last year Eli Manning in the same stadium went 8/22 for 59 yards. He actually ran a touchdown in that game. Granted the conditions were worse but the players said it was like "playing on ice".This is a constant concern whenever there is rain/sloppy field.
Why does everyone assume passing game is gonna be hurt by a sloppy field? I would think this would actually help the offense as the d-back has a harder time covering and the d-line has a harder time pass rushing.
Better weather link in the longer thread; not so optimistic either. They precict a fair amount of rain. Weather is sometimes unpredictable, and people seem to be disagreeing. Brees will have a better chance than most, but 160 yards, 1 TD would be generous. There are better options on my 12 team league waiver wire.NFL network Phil Simms reports damp field, messy conditions are expected. One thing the skeptical people are forgetting: Last years sloppy mess in London involved a then-slumping Eli Manning and an atrocious Dolphin team led by Cleo friggin Lemon. Needless to say, NO & SD have infintely more talent to endure weather conditions. Regarding Simms' comments on weather, I think Ill rely on sites that, you know, exist for the purposes of informing people about the weather. So it's dry now...what about the 2nd quarter when the damp filed turns to mud? Oh yeah, and it was against Miami, who at the time was considered the worst team in the league and that week Manning was a top 5 qb play.Because last year Eli Manning in the same stadium went 8/22 for 59 yards. I have the same decision, but benching Holt.Placing Colston on the bench in favor of Holt (due to Jax being inactive)Colston owner - was curious about the weather and field conditions also, hopefully we hear something soon.
Excellent point about Manning continuing his slump in this game and Cleo♦ Lemon being, well... Cleo Lemon.I had Manning last year and had to watch them play in slop, I have Brees and would feel like I was taken if I did it again this year!!One thing the skeptical people are forgetting: Last years sloppy mess in London involved a then-slumping Eli Manning and an atrocious Dolphin team led by Cleo friggin Lemon. same as above, benching Colston, football was not made to be played on a soccer fieldI have the same decision, but benching Holt.Placing Colston on the bench in favor of Holt (due to Jax being inactive)Colston owner - was curious about the weather and field conditions also, hopefully we hear something soon.
I'm doing the same.I'm considering starting Jason Campbell against Detroit.EDIT TO ADD: I just plugged in Campbell. :fingerscrossed:

This is why you never bench the #1 QB in fantasy... just stupid to. He looks amazing. People over-thik and out coach themselves all the time
Will Mighty Mice show his face in this thread again?
Oh, Brees is in my lineup along with LT and Steve Smith. My first attempt at an old school "Kee-Rock" (For the old timers!)$$$$$$
