Anyone else benching Brees? (1 Viewer)

Haven't done it all season, but will today with all the marbles on the line. Playing Carolina on the road in possibly bad weather. Brees has only been mediocre on the road this year and Carolina has a great pass D. Seems like an easy call to go with Rivers at home against Oakland in good weather. Most the experts have Brees ranked 2 or 3 with RIvers around the 5 spot. I am not sure Brees is a top 10 QB this week, but of course Brees always has a very high upside which could burn me.

So I've gone back and forth on Brees or Cutler.

Brees is the safer bet, but I'm up against Peyton Manning.

Chicago could rest Cutler if the game doesn't mean anything

Chicago could rest Marshall and/or Jeffrey

Weather is expected to be bad in Carolina

If I were you, I would go with Rivers.

I'm still deciding and need an intervention :help: :help:

Brees just carved open this Panther defense 2 weeks ago to the tune of 313 yards and 4 TDs before backing off late. went 30/42. I don't think the Panthers defense is anything like the Seahawks, so you got to stick with Brees. Rivers is a reasonable choice but I don't see Cutler as a viable option. even if he had even chance of scoring better, the uncertainty around him means there is a decent chance you get a half out of him. you can't take that risk. you can't sit Drew Brees for what might not be a full game of Jay Cutler (whose best game this year isn't equal to Brees average in our scoring system)

Dont know what will happen in a few hours, but right now in Charlotte there is barely sprinkles, no wind, 68 degrees, and the sun almost wants to come out. Looking out the window right now, no reason to bench anyone because of weather.

I'm sticking with Brees over Cutler, but just because of the weather/sit potential. Take it with a grain of salt though because this is for the #1 pick, i.e. not real $$$. This team has been decimated by injuries, so I am just going on pure upside of Brees versus Cutler, who I like, especially with those WRs.

not looking good. didn't have a great alternative so didn't strongly consider benching him - but my other option is doing much better so far.

I did the same thing. Can't sit your studs, got to play him bla bla.

So far 2 points at half. :wall: :wall:

Doubt he comes back like last week against St.L

Car playing inspired ball at home

Brees is going to crush a lot of teams this week. Even if all you needed was one of his basic 250/2 days, it doesn't look too good.
