Anyone else get the feeling Westbrook is going to fake injuries this y (1 Viewer)

This guy continues to talk about not needing practice and he seems to perform at a higher level when he does not practice. I honestly think if last weeks game was close he would have stayed in. I also see him not practicing all year in an attempt to keep himself fresh.

Dude plays hard but he's not a big man, he gets beat up every week and has a history of injuries.

If I was his coach, I'd let him fake hurt every week to skip practices too...

If veterans can skip preseason under the pretense of considering retirement (Strahan), then why can't Westbrook do this?

Actually, during the broadcast last Sunday, Baldinger said he had talked to Westbrook, and he said that he likes being able to practice on Fridays, that it helps loosen up the knee a little bit and he feels a little better heading into the weekend as a result.

I don't think the guy is faking injuries. :goodposting:

Even if he would fake them (i dont think he would), he doesnt need to. Reid has shown that he has no problem holding Westbrook out of practice and saving him for the games. He has done it the past few years with Westy's "sore knee", so i dont see why he wouldnt do it this year.

Actually, I think Westbrook is injured. He is one of the most injury prone RBs in the NFL. While he may play through his injuries, eventually he is going to miss a significant portion of the season.

Nope I think he is hurt. I saw the play he was hurt during on TV and you can tell it hurt him when he did it. I do think he will play Sunday night though. The Eagles have a bye the following week so he can rest then.

I get the feeling that Westbrook is one of the players who goes all out on the field every time he gets the ball in his hands. Westbrook is one of this league's standouts and difference makers, despite the label that he is a pass-catcher more so than a RB. Guess what, Westbrook is this generations Tiki Barber. Always being doubted, but continually surpasses expectations.

Westbrook is probably the one RB I enjoy watching most out of the entire league. He makes it look easy. I highly doubt that the guy fakes injuries to get out of practice. That is just normal wear and tear for a guy that tries to take every carry and every reception to the house.

He maybe beat up (Westbrook) but he never seems to let his team or FF teams down by not playing. He's not like a Portis who seems to be the most injured RB in recent years.
