Anyone else have lineups practically on auto-pilot? (1 Viewer)

Not going to post my roster and make this a LOOK AT ME...but with great success at all facets of adding to my roster (Choosing Keepers, Drafting, Trading, Waivers), I've got a lineup that is solid from top to bottom, and nobody from my bench (and I have a good bench) will get any starts the rest of the way.

From Week 11 to 16 (if I make it that far), I'll be making no changes (barring injury of course).

Anyone else expect to not be making any lineup changes?

Could also be due to injury I suppose.

I'm just waiting out the results of the games at this point.

I guess my point is...now what do I do? It's kind of boring being on auto pilot.

Not a dig:

How big is your league? What you're talking about happens more the fewer the teams that are available to siphon off bench strength.

Still, it's nice to feel like your FF team's on solid ground. Much better than pouncing on Wk 11 waiver guys :goodposting:

12 team keeper league

I've only made one lineup change in several weeks (other than rotating defenses). I make a few changes every week in each of my other leagues, but this is my best team by far. It isn't as much fun because there is basically no strategy left this year, but that may balance out with the success the team is having.

I'm like that in one of my leagues right now... It's a 3rd year dynasty where I had a really good draft 3 years ago (Cutler, AD, MJD, MBIII, Turner, Holt, Mason, Marshall, VJack, MSW). I traded away some depth to get even stronger (Wayne, Olsen). And made a good pick after trading away Turner (Ray Rice).

QB: Auto Pilot

RB: Auto Pilot

WR: Auto Pilot

TE: Should be auto pilot, but I seem to pick wrong between VD and Olsen every week

K: Only carry 1 at all times

I'm in a 16 team league and i'm ranked #1 overall (through a combination of skill and luck).

I'll be rolling out the same guys till the end of the season but that's mainly because I traded alot of the depth I had on the bench for stud starters (this is a redraft league and so I gambled).

Got rid of cadillac williams and nate washington (good backups/flex plays in a 16team league) to get Vernon Davis.

No worries...14 TeamsAlmost every move I made turned to gold, specifically, I waited on QB in the draft, scored perfectly on my waiver moves, and traded my depth for a QB Schaub (stuck behind McNabb) and injured RB (Gore) to a desperate team who had little else but two really good QBs and an injured stud RB.We keep three, and I added a new one every year, and the three I got are studs.I'd like to say I'm a genius, but the stars just aligned with me this year...so far...My starting lineup, if you add up each player's PPG, is 80 points per game, and the rest of the 13 teams are at 55 PPG. I've already been told not to show my face at the draft if I don't win. This is our 10th season, and I am 0-2 in championship games.

Oh and the worst part is I am almost not enjoying this at all. I can't trash talk now (a regular feature in my league) even though my team is so strong, because I KNOW it will blow up in my face. And I can't (much) if I do win, because it's expected.

The bolded looks crazy in hindsight. Was that was before or after McNabb's early-season rib injury?

Short answer...after he came back and looked good.Long answer...

Post Week #5 Trade:

I got Schaub, Matt HOU QB;Coffee, Glen SFO RB;Gore, Frank SFO RB

I gave up Mendenhall, Rashard PIT RB;Edwards, Braylon NYJ WR;Holmes, Santonio PIT WR

McNabb's first game back was in Week #5 when he torched the Bucs for 264 pass + 3TDs + 30 rushing, and so Schaub was his very good QB#2 who wasn't likely to supplant McNabb in his lineup.

Gore got hurt in Week #3, and missed Weeks 4 and 5, and Week #6 was his BYE, and we made the trade before Week #6, and before they said he was coming back after the BYE. Coffee was Gore's less than successful backup.

In Weeks #4 + 5 before the trade, Mendenhall had 284 rush/rec yards + 3 TDs, and Bray-Bray :hifive: got his first TD in his debut as a Jet, and things were looking up for him.

The biggest keys were that McNabb was healthy and blew up in his first game...that allowed him to practically throw in Schaub. And Gore was hurt at the time, and Mendenhall just blew up in his first two starts....really just a perfect storm to make the deal for me...

Hells no.If you have so much time, shoot me your email, and I'll send you my WDIS questions.
PM it to me.Actually...this isn't a bad idea...Maybe I should spend some time in the Assistant Coach forum...you know...since I'm such a FF genius.

Just about every time of won a Championship it's been like that. When you start having to guess who is going to have the better week or trying to play matchups it eventually comes back to bite you.

Oh good lord I hope you're right...

Made a lineup mistake that cost me each game.

i hear ya. barring injuries im rolling with the same crew from here on out.
I would to, but I have injury concerns out the wazoo. :blackdot: Then again, this is the time of year to have a set lineup, trades should have been made to eraseany doubts.
