Anyone else having trouble getting on cbs? (1 Viewer)

Same here. I really have to talk to the other members of my league and ditch these clowns. Every year there seems to be one issue or another.

 
I just called an 800 number that I found for Sportsline and the operator said that "They are aware of the issue and are currently working on it." They hope to have it working tonight but it may take until morning. Probably not what you want to hear (I didn't) but at least it is some info for what it is worth.

 
It is truly bizarre that I am unable to access the site from my home computer, but I was able all day at work (east coast here).

Anyway, I hope that they are able to resolve the issue soon.

 
I've been unable to reach the site all day (east coast). I remember getting an e-mail from them recently saying they were changing the domain to cbssportsline.com or something so it might be a delayed name resolution thing.

 
For those who are unable to access it, are you doing it through bookmarks? I would try going to the main Sportsline website first and then clicking on Fantasy and navigating in that way. You guys are all probably trying that and it is still not working, but there seem to be some strange occurrences that people are reporting in this thread.

 
If they are having some sort of routing issue (which may be the case since it's only affecting some people), you may want to try going through a proxy service. Of course, you would be sending your login information through a 3rd-party intermediary, but if you really need to get on tonight and use a legitimate proxy service this should do the trick.

 
down for me all day ... playoff week and there is a game tomorrow. Very disappointing service ...

 
Worked all day for me at work. I get home and can't connect. I tried changing my DNS to a public DNS instead of Charter. No luck..

Anyone with any other ideas?

Just the opposite for me. I couldn't access the site all day at work. I get home and I can get on. Weird.
 
Damn....6:00 AM, and all is still not well :rolleyes:

For those that are able to get on, maybe somebody can post a link.

I doubt that will work, but i'm willing to try anything at this point.

Back to work this morning and still can't access site. (Midwest) I thought maybe it was my computer so I restarted and that hasn't worked. I can't even access the main cbssportsline page. What the heck is going on?
 
Still no access since last night. Have even tried through cbs.com & cbsnews.com links. and yet a leaguemate across town has no problem from work

 
I'm having the same issue, and have had the same issue since yesterday, with NFL.com (powered by sportsline).

 
Someone who can reach the site- type 'ping www.sportsline.com' and report the IP you get.

I'm getting 64.30.236.35 and 64.30.236.34, but neither of those are working for me (could reach it last night via comcast).

Again, I can reach it here at work, where I am successfully pinging 64.30.236.35, but not at home as of this morning.
 
Checking around online this does not seem to be a routing issue since people are able to ping and tracert the URL without an issue. There seems to be an issue on the webserver affecting Verizon DSL and FIOS customers.

Here's a couple of sites people are reporting their status on

Looks like there's been some success by changing MTU settings from 1500 to 1492, or by going through a proxy.

Verizon FIOS customer here. Still down.
 
Is anyone else having problems w/ Sportsline's scoring? None of the defensive or yardage stats are being recorded in my league... only TDs.

it was working fine up until the last 10 minutes of the game...then it was REAL SLOW getting score changes,although it did finally put them up....maybe someone infected them with a virus...some little 16 yo computer nerd :cool:
