Anyone else think RBs in an RBBC are going way too high (1 Viewer)

 I don't get how high many of these are going. I wouldn't touch those team's RBs nearly as high (or expensively in auctions) as many seem to be. In our auction Bush went for more than Portis or Rudi (???) and only now are people finally realizing how over-valued Addai has been. etc etc. I can see latter/cheaper moves to get one of these based on upside, but many are going way higher....TOO high. Agree/not?

Edit: I probably should have said something like "teams with an unsettled RB situation with a lot of RBBC potential/likelihood," ie some of these may end up with 1 go-to guy.....we just have no idea who it is.

I think the guy that has the most potential will be Mike Bell in Denver. IF he can hang on to the starting position, he could be great value at RB. From what I've read he's saying all the right things, and Shanny and the coaching staff seem to like him.

Well if you think you know who's going to be the starter, then no. If you think they'll end up in RBBC, then in most cases, yes.

I think that the only one that is going higher than my taste is Reggie Bush. Duece is back and playing adequate and will get his touches. Bush seems to be going early to mid 2nd round. The Denver RBBC is the situation that poses a greater upside because their system is proven and the Bell's are getting drafted 3rd round or later.

I believe that if you have drafted solid* players with picks 1-4 it's worth the gamble to take M Bell in the 5th and T Bell in the 8th. Like walkwithme said, their system is proven. I don't think the 5th is too early for M Bell. However, that tune may change when Shanny messes with the masses and makes Cedric Cobbs his opening day starter. T Bell should rank higher than 10 RBs taken before him if he plays the same role he did last year, which I think he will.* solid being no injury concerns currently

:lmao: He must have more fun messing with the minds of the FF faithful than all other coaches combined. After Cobbs, look for Dayne to be the secret starter by week 3 :banned:

I think that many of these players are going TOO LOW.For instance, let's look at Denver. Yes, it's probably going to be an RBBC. Last season, Denver's two RBs finished 10th and 22nd in fantasy points. According to ADP, over the last week the Bells have been going as the 29th and 30th RBs off the board. Even if Denver's running game regresses noticeably from last season, one of those RBs will wind up performing right at his draft position, and the other will wind up blowing his draft position out of the water. Denver's RBs are drastically underrated.Next up is Chicago. Benson and Jones are going as the 27th and 28th RBs off the board, typically with picks 5.3 and 5.4. Whoever starts, between the two of them, is a likely top-12 RB. Imagine being able to trade picks 4.12 and 5.1 for a first rounder, straight up- that's essentially what you're doing with the Chicago RBs. You're using two picks at the turn, and in return you're getting production commensurate with the first 12 RBs drafted- except with a lot less risk, because you're already insured because of injury. The top 12 RBs can all bust thanks to injury OR poor performance- your Benson/Jones combo can only bust thanks to becoming a full-blown RBBC, which is less likely than a top-12 getting injured or performing poorly (last year, 7 of the 12 first round picks busted).I think Bush is going a hair too high, but people have posted numbers showing he can produce even if he IS in an RBBC (Warrick Dunn managed it his rookie year, after all), so you'd have to take it up with them. I think the Indy RBs are rated a little bit too high, because I see that one as having the most potential (outside of Denver) to become a full-on RBBC (and unlike Denver, Indy doesn't score enough points to hold its value while running an RBBC). I do think Rhodes alone presents solid value, though, for someone who is looking for some cheap depth at RB.
